Equity strategy  Purpose of the Job :  - To support and actively partner with the Global equity strategy team on work related to identifying short term and long term drivers of equity markets.  Role and Environment of the Job :  - Responsible for building / maintaining and taking ownership of databases and analysis as needed by business from time to time. Main focus is Latam region.   - Analysis of equity markets, using the top down as well as bottom-up approach.  - Role will also involve region/country/industry analysis, including macro economic drivers  - Producing reports/presentations for internal use and contributing to externally published research reports.  - Scale up to be a thought partner for on-shore strategists on research ideas.  - Role will be expected to respond to client/sales queries in a timely manner.  Guidance and Authority :  - Source markets data from multiple sources including vendor systems   - Create/maintain systems/ database to store and secure such data.  - Monitor news and events and keep global team appraised of new developments in equity markets  - Ensure the operation is resourced adequately to respond to urgent demands and short timescales for information/analysis as determined by the business and willing to work extended hours as required   - Ensure that all work is delivered within agreed time-frames and meets the required high quality standard so that on-shore team is satisfied with the work.  Education, Experience and Skills :  - MBA/CA/CFA(US)/Economics Post Graduate from reputed institutes/universities with strong academic performance  - 1-3 years of experience, preferably Equity Strategy, Portfolio Management, Equity Quantitative Techniques and/or Econometrics. Experience with captive or third party research houses will be very useful.   - Highly proficient at financial modeling/analysis, conceptually sound and a general awareness of various sectors.   - Should be able to handle large amount data and can extract the right information out of it, filtering out the noise.   - Familiarity and understanding of macro economic concepts essential  - Atleast basic knowledge of statistical/quantitative techniques is also required.   - Proficient at Excel, Word and Powerpoint, database skills essential.   - Ability to use financial databases like Datastream, Bloomberg etc. essential.   - Written and spoken English; hard-working; organised; diligent; and above all, a team player.   Audit requirement :  - To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply.  - To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.  - To maintain internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
