The core responsibility is to provide business decision support and strategic insights to advance the marketing initiatives at eBay India.  Job Responsibility:  - Develop, improve and systemize crisp & accurate reporting and analysis. Streamline processes and identify/execute on automation and time-saving opportunities to reduce non-value added work.   - Ensure business decisions are sound and data-driven. Work with management and data warehouse teams as well as business end users to understand reporting and alalysis requirements  - Drive reporting excellence at eBay to enable the analytics community to communicate business performance in a clear and insightful way to the business to facilitate timely and informed decision making   - Analyze eBay's large and rich datasets; drive insights from the fact base to improve the user experience through eBay’s large and rich datasets   - Work cross-functionally with other analytics teams as well as product and business teams to provide ad hoc analytic support for senior management   - Coordinate with a team of analytical reporting excellence professionals in India, and coordinate with other analytics excellence leaders around the globe   Job Requirements:  - Successful candidates will offer a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, deep analytical capabilities and a collaborative working style, all that with a roll-up-the-sleeves, action-oriented mindset. Capability and experience in coordinating with eBay analysts acoross the globe  - At least 7-10 years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics, including at least 2 years in the online industry  - Understand the general eCommerce indutry business model, preferably with marketing & merchandising experience. Online CRM would be an advantage.  - Experience in analyzing large, multi-dimensional datasets (SQL) and extracting insights from diversified data/results   - Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, working knowledge of SAS or R.   - Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines in a dynamic/changing environment   - High energy, strong work ethic, willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get to the results   - Candidate should have the capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and translate them into relevant quantitative analyses to inform direction and strategy.   - Team player with partnering and collaboration skills  Should be able to communicate fluently with business users, technical personnel and management across the organization - ability to present results and recommendations to various types of audiences
