Performance Chemicals will have global leadership in titanium dioxide, fluorochemicals, fluoropolymers and selected specialty and industrial chemicals. It will be focused on serving customers who rely on these products, along with improved capability to respond to customer needs and market trends with a highly competitive asset base, product line and workforce.   Performance Chemicals will have a presence in 36 countries and will serve customers in more than 90 countries around the world. The new company will supply customers from 38 manufacturing locations, which span every region of the world. The result will be a new company with the assets and presence to support the continued global operation of our businesses and to serve customers around the world  Primary Function: Indirect Taxation  Brief Job Description :  The job involves the following:  - The person will be independently managing the Local Value Added Tax (VAT), Central Sales Tax (CST) affairs of company at all the locations.   - The person will be responsible for ensuring all Local VAT/CST, Excise, Service tax compliance (filing of returns etc.), tax planning, defending audits & assessments and handling litigations.  - Should have adequate knowledge of various indirect tax laws like custom, excise, service tax, foreign trade policy (advance licenses, EOU, SEZ, Served from India).   - Should show Speed and agility in understanding the business and correlate VAT / CST implications and benefits.  - Advising on tax implication of business with devising ways and means to mitigate an adverse impact and to realize the huge saving potential of tax efficient business model.  - Skill set in analyzing, planning and strategizing tax efficient business model resulting in tax savings to organization.  - Experience in drafting written submissions for appeals, representations against Show Cause Notices before Government authorities.   - An effective team and individual contributor with good communication, analytical skills, team building and relationship management skills.  - Versatile and capable of handling multiple assignment.   - He/she would be independently interacting with tax authorities, appearing before hearings, making oral and written submissions.  - He/she would be representing the Company before appeal authorities. Would be networking and reporting to the Management.   - The person would also be responsible for managing external consultants, auditors and key external stakeholders like Government, from the tax perspective.  Education Qualification & Years of Experience required:   Competence Requirement:  - Good interpersonal skills and proficiency in English language.  - Good drafting skills and pleading skills.  - A CA/ICWA/LL.B with 3 years of relevant Experience. Additional diploma in indirect taxation is preferred.   - Good knowledge of Indirect Taxes Laws, rules and procedures & working knowledge State VAT/CST.   - Good understanding of general legal, financial and accounting principles.  - Good understanding of computerized working environment and knowledge of SAP.  Minimum Skills Required:   - Good interpersonal skills and proficiency in English language.  - Good drafting skills and pleading skills.  - Good understanding of general legal, financial and accounting principles.  - Good understanding of computerized working environment and knowledge of SAP.
