Application Specialist-(Beverages)  Designation : Application Specialist  SBU : DuPont Nutrition & Health  Location : N&H Innovation Application Center, 8th Floor, Tower A, Cyber Greens, Gurgaon  No. of positions : Application Specialist (Beverages)  Reporting to : Group Application Leader  Primary Function :   - Conduct product development work in various liquid & powdered beverages application that is consistent with DuPont N&H business objectives.   - Provide technical support to sales and operations staff as required to meet DuPont N&H business objectives.  Brief Job Description :  - Lead beverage projects in development of new product, or modification of existing products, recipes or processes.   - Provide timely technical support and knowledge, in soy protein, textural ingredients, and other functional ingredient applications, to internal and external customers, with prioritization based on customer status and project business impact.   Specifically :   - Professional & timely responses in line with agreed timeframes  - Accurate & detailed technical project work and associated reports  - Cost effective approaches and solutions to technical support projects  - Ensure safe, hygienic and efficient day-to-day operations of the Beverages laboratory and facilities.  - Perform laboratory trials on formulations of various beverage products, as required.  - Regular updating and maintenance of all relevant DuPont N&H Applications Guide, formulations and other Ingredients Databases that the company may develop and introduce from time to time.  - Commitment to all company's policies, rules and regulations and DuPont N&H quality and continuous improvement programs such as MS ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.  - Attend and contribute to relevant CRIG meetings and various Company local and regional conferences, trade exhibitions and business meetings where required.  - Any other tasks or projects assigned by the Team Leader or Group Manager.  Education Qualification & Years of Experience :   - Graduate or post graduate in Food or Dairy Technology / Science   - At least 5 year of relevant experience in dairy & beverage industry  - Previous experience working with soy protein in various applications  - Candidate with good understanding of the nutrition & health benefits of soy protein would be highly regarded  Value Proposition of the Role :   - Act as coach for junior team members, sales colleagues & customers.  - Writes technical literature  - Establishes and maintains a broad network within DuPont N&H e.g. in knowledge teams  - Participates actively in value optimization of business opportunities as well as in account plan development for selected key customers   Key interfaces :   Internal : Daily contact with team leader & other members of innovation. Advise, discuss, debate & potentially convince on technical approaches to projects & technical support to ensure that the best solution is achieved in application.  External : Responsible for a technical and/or geographical area, e.g. an application or product range for that application  Visits customers with or without sales manager  Training / certifications preferred : Any training or certification in the area of analytical chemistry, microbiology etc.  Special requirements : Hands on experience in product formulations, handling analytical equipment, pilot plant.
