Role: Team Lead PSAI - Internal Audit

Reporting To: Group Leader - PSAI

Location: Corporate Office

Role Summary:

- The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team to deliver individual internal audit projects within given timeline, as part of the internal audit plan.

- This responsibility includes developing internal audit scope, audit plan, performing internal audit procedures, preparing internal audit reports and also guiding and reviewing the work performed by other team members. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units, focusing on operational, IT and financial processes.

- The Team Leader will regularly update the Group Leader and Process Owners on status of ongoing projects. Additionally, the Team Leader performs follow-up on the status of open internal audit issues.

- The Team Leader will also assist Internal Audit management with periodic reporting to the Senior Management, Audit Committee and in developing the annual internal audit plan.

- The Team Leader is responsible for direction and review the work performed by the team members, including resources from the co-sourcing firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning:

- Carry out a preliminary review of the audit area for developing scope of the audit and prepare risk based audit program, audit planning document

- Obtaining periodic status update from team members and reviewing their work and providing regular status update to Group Leader

Field Work:

- Perform comprehensive field work reviewing data and information, interacting with process owner, performing tests and carrying out relevant analysis, recording and evaluating results

- Discuss audit observations, root cause and recommendations with process owner

- Obtaining periodic status update from team members and reviewing their work

- Inform Group Leader about progress of audit on regular basis, discussing results of field work

Reporting:

- Prepare draft, final audit report and executive summary for identified issues along with root cause analysis for review of Group Leader / Chief Internal Auditor

- Reviewing work of other team members

Follow-up on open observations:

- Perform follow up with management for timely and effective implementation of agreed action plans.

- Prepare update on open issues for monthly presentation to management.

Others responsibilities:

- Develop advanced knowledge of SAP reports and controls.

- Develop knowledge of API production, quality, supply chain and commercial processes

- Develop advanced knowledge of cGMP requirements

- Obtain and update knowledge on principles, practices and standards in Internal Auditing

- Maintain a good network with different levels of management and obtain regular updates on the key developments happening in Business, Industry and Regulatory Environment

- Help the Internal Audit management in preparation of presentations for senior management and audit committee

- Help the Internal Audit management in preparation of annual audit plan

- Perform administrative functions relating to the department’s activities

- Participate and contribute in the regular knowledge sharing activities of the team

Operating Network:

Internal: Process owners, function heads and senior management of all the key departments in the business and support functions

External: Professional contacts to find out about the best business practices and inculcate the same.

Educational Qualifications: Chemical Engineer (preferably with MBA)

- Experience Required: At least 6 to 9 years of experience in API manufacturing of a medium to large-scale company or in a consulting firm

- Experience in managing a team and project management

- Experience of working in SAP environment and in auditing function would be an added advantage
