Purpose

Key role in Business Systems & Planning team at Biologics which will be responsible for leading projects related to Operations Transformation, Continuous Improvement, Development of Operations Management System, Enablement of Information System for easy reporting, reviewing and decision making.

Education & Experience

MBA from a Tier-I/II B-School with 3-5 years of work experience in Operations Management/Consulting with specific focus on analytics and support for Operations Performance Management (Identification of KPIs, setting up reporting framework, Operations Analytics, IT enablement of Operations Information solutions, etc.)

Responsibilities

- Develop the overall framework for evaluation and monitoring the performance of Operations at DRL Biologics along with the guidelines and key indicators to identify, monitor and track the critical success factors.

- Engage and partner with functional heads and line managers to acquire a good grasp of operational level issues and value drivers, develop hypothesis through data driven analysis and synthesis insights to design performance management solutions

- Design tools to integrate large datasets from sub-parts of the Operations Organization (e.g. Manufacturing, QC, Engineering, QA, etc.) within the framework of an overall Operations Management System (“OMS”) while incorporating standard guidelines, checks and balances to maintain data integrity and reporting standards

- Work closely with Business Process Enablement function to implement and roll out the OMS as an IT platform.

- Develop, refine and manage the process for regular reporting on findings and coordinate with all the sub-units in the Operations group for the dissemination of information.

- Devise and manage the process for periodic performance reporting across various sub-units of the Operations organization

- Keep the OMS updated with current assumptions and inputs obtained through consultations with functional heads and line managers.

- Support functional leadership in building capacity for preparing progress reports, analyzing them followed by corrective actions to meet the desired organizational objectives.

- Assist Operations Leadership at Biologics uncover improvement opportunities through analytics-assisted insights and strategies.

- Undertake field visits on periodic basis, to ensure compliance with operational procedures and validate the performance as presented in OMS.

- Keep abreast of the latest developments in OMS and network with other organizations (within Biologics, other parts of DRL, and outside organizations) for implementing best practices and transferring learnings across the organization

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Thorough understanding of key performance indicators in an Operations environment ( Pharma industry experience preferred, though not necessary)

- Expertise and proved experience in managing and fine tuning business / enterprise processes in various functional areas.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to make insightful and impactful presentations to senior leadership teams

- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills; ability to creatively analyze data to develop accurate business perspectives

- Highly driven, self-directed, with an ability to build strong internal and external networks
