The Director of Talent Acquisition is expected to work collaboratively with the HR team to align talent strategy with the reward and development programs that make the company attractive to candidates. A qualified candidate will have a proven track record of scaling and transforming talent needs into employees who are well matched to their position, perform well and are retained by the company. This function includes both human talent as well as technology – both of which need to be utilized to maximize the effectiveness of the talent acquisition process of: talent resource strategy, talent program management, needs identification, sourcing, screening, evaluating, selection, negotiation and successful on boarding.  This position requires a strong understanding of the company’s competitive landscape for products and for human resources and the ability to identify and leverage the key differentiators that draw top talent. The Role  - Stays in lock-step with the executive team in proactively planning for talent needs and tracking the status of those needs  - Responsible for the development, strategy and execution of the recruitment brand that leverages the company as a Best Place to Work  - Manages, motivates and develops a cross-functional talent acquisition team made up of professional recruiting management, university relations management, program managers, recruiters, sourcers regional HR, and local coordinators to find and select talent  - Overall responsibility for talent acquisition programs including: university relations, contingent workforce, diversity, employee referrals, and social networking  - Establishes sourcing and research strategies to create a viable, sustainable pipeline of top talent  - Establishes the business requirements for and configuration of all recruitment systems and ensures that the talent acquisition team is trained on the optimal use of the systems  - Ensures a strong evaluation and screening process that filters only candidates with the highest possible caliber and qualifications to the organization  - Provides regular reports to senior management on key recruiting metrics  - Manages recruitment budget, including annual forecast and monthly accrual and forecasting of expenses as well as reduce cost associated with dependency on External Search firms  - Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws around all recruitment processes  Desired Skills and Experience  Education & Experience  - Bachelor degree with Masters preferred in HR  - Minimum 14 to 18 years of progressive leadership ability with proven track record and experience in the broad talent acquisition discipline within the high tech industry  - Specific experience and network connections in the flash memory or storage solutions industry highly preferred  - Experience with a variety of recruitment systems including experience implementing an applicant tracking system and working with recruitment partners/vendors  - Must have strong customer focus, business acumen, process management, and communication and negotiation skills.  Other Requirements  - Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others across business units, functional departments, geographies and disciplines  - Strong leadership skills and proven judgment of talent, with an emphasis on hiring and developing high performance teams  - Knowledge and prior experience with creating branding programs  - Results-orientation in setting and pursuing aggressive goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success and marshaling resources to accomplish projects  - Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
