About the team

The Generals are Vikram Chopra (Wharton, IIT Bombay, Sequoia Capital,McKinsey) and Mehul Agrawal (BCG, IIM Calcutta, Forbes 2016 Asia 30-under-30, Forbes 2015 India 30-under-30). Both of them had earlier built FabFurnish.com. The rest of the team - right from commanders to soldiers - are driven, passionate, have excellent credentials and have come together at CARS24.com to do the most phenomenal work of their lives.

How are you different from OLX, CarDekho etc.-

We are nothing like classifieds. The fact they don- t work is why we exist. Think about your experience or your friends/ family experience of selling the car. Was it painful- If the answer was yes, CARS24.com is going to change it permanently.

Do you have a US/ China equivalent-

We don't know, honestly. We understand the problem of used cars in India and we have a solution that works. It is proving itself day in and day out and we are seeing crazy success. If innovation excites you without caring about precedents, talk to us.

How about funding-

The truth is that we make tons of money to cover our costs easily. So we don't think we will need hundreds of millions, as we have a very viable business model that is scaling fast. However, some of the strongest VCs are our investors, because we are out there to win and we have a formidable strategy in every aspect.

Role

- Run, manage and grow a significant work stream in an existing part of the business, or in something being built from scratch

- Manage parts of P&L, lead a sizeable team, take initiatives and drive excellent execution

Key Skills

- Strong business understanding skills (problem solving, critical reasoning, logical thinking); this is key to be a senior business leader

- Strong process management skills to ensure the product creation and development process is well defined, well executed and well implemented

- Strong data skills to be able to track various business data and create actionable insights based on that.

- Strong team management and interpersonal skills to be able to motivate, inspire and develop people..

- Strong communication skills as we are a large team and interaction will be very significant externally and internally.

- Hands-on - should be able to interact with customers and buy cars directly; should be able to deal with business partners directly etc.

Expectations

- Should be self-driven and work independently; this is very important

- Should enjoy a - target- driven culture and should get motivated to achieve and exceed targets

- Ready to work on Saturdays and Sundays as these are big business days; week offs are on a weekday

Experience

- Min 8 years of work experience

- Strong education and/ or work pedigree (IIT/IIM/Ivy; top consulting cos/ FMCG brands/ internet cos/ technology cos etc.)
