Education : Technical degree (4-year engineering degree preferred), with MBA a plus
Experience : 8+ years telecom/ it sales experience, with proven track record of sales to telecom operators
Languages: English
Travel: 60% within the region to assigned countries within the Middle East and North Africa.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain market awareness in region w.r.t. VSAT market and potential opportunities
- Identify and qualify new prospects. Create strategy for winning accounts and work with HQ team to bring resources necessary to bring opportunities to close
- Engage in business development activities to convince prospects about the benefits of VSAT technology and to help them become operators of Hughes equipment
- Maintain relationship with existing customers and provide product/feature updates to position for follow-on sales; provide assistance as needed to close technical or support issues
- Provide inputs for the development and execution of a Strategic Sales plan for the countries responsible including addressing new market segments and identification of applications that can drive satellite services and hardware growth.
- Participate in regional trade shows and seminars to promote Hughes products and services; recommend marketing activities that will strengthen and increase Hughes brand in the region
- Track competitive landscape and provide feedback to HQ especially related to lost opportunities
- Maintain an up to date Salesforce database and provide weekly reports for the responsible countries.
- Comply with HNS policies and procedures related to quality, export compliance, and ethical business practices
