Director - Research

The Director will lead and oversee the prospect and research function, supervise the research staff and work closely with development officers as a partner in helping them achieve their fundraising goals.

Will be responsible for Maintaining an overall knowledge of the Institutions top prospects to assist fundraisers in developing appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies; reference and represent that information at meetings and in discussions, as needed.

Supervise the research staff. Set departmental and individual employee goals and provide routine evaluations of progress toward these goals.

Identify and promote professional growth opportunities for staff. Ensure adherence to professional standards and ethics of prospect research.

Motivating faculty to contribute for proposal submission and other research activity

Managing of PG program and other publications

Develop and oversee budgets, policies, and procedures for the Research Department.

Evaluate research tools and emerging technology and coordinate vendor relations.

Maintain an awareness of the goals and accomplishments of the Institution and of issues within the development profession.

Provide direct prospect research services to a small portfolio of senior fundraisers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferably from a Medical university or deemed university.
