Director - Operations  - The company is a leading global provider of information management and electronic commerce systems for the financial services industry. The company drives innovations that transform experiences for more than 16,000 clients worldwide, including banks, credit unions and thrifts, billers, mortgage lenders and leasing companies, brokerage and investment firms and other business clients.  - The company's Remittance and Item Processing Solutions business unit leverages Source Capture product and offers its bank clients a solution that enables the bank customers to deposit checks from their mobile devices, ATM, Branch & Merchant locations on their own time and terms. The checks are further processed automatically through the various systems. The checks that are not read by the scanners are presented to data entry & batch balancing teams in India for manual processing.  - The company has a large dedicated team across its offices in India to manually process over 15 million checks a month. This checks volume is expected to grow in the coming years. The company plans to strengthen its management team by hiring a senior resource to manage the operations.  - Looking for experienced operations manager who has been managing similar banking operations in India with distributed team of 150-200.   Key Responsibilities :  - Manage the company's Item Processing operations in India with accountability for revenue and profitability (Focus on efficiencies - leaner and faster)  - Ensure SLA adherence for all functions under Item Processing Service  - Deliver on client benefits through process improvements and innovation  - Actively use process improvement methodologies to streamline existing processes (Focus on Process stabilization & sustained delivery)  - Apply innovative and forward thinking solutions to drive continuous improvements in the process and recommend ways to automate, eliminate and innovate  - Solve complex issues by proactively identifying and eliminating root cause barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality   - Support new initiatives through creation of proposal material and client discussion documents  Required Profile :  - 14-18 years of work experience in banking operations, with good knowledge of item processing  - Handled operations with span of 150-200 FTEs across multiple locations with a potential to manage larger teams  - Knowledge around process excellence initiatives (Six Sigma, Lean, benchmarking, specific initiatives and best practices). Certification as a six sigma black belt would be a plus.  - Strong problem solving abilities. Ability to disaggregate issues, develop hypotheses, and develop actionable recommendations from data and analysis  - Flexibility to work across multiple time zones (late US shifts)
