- This role will require to do Model Validation

- The Global Risk Oversight group is a newly formed department within Risk Management, created specifically to provide independent validation of all American Express risk models and develop an independent view of American Express credit decisions and portfolio trends in order to improve the quality of risk outcomes, strengthen long term shareholder value and satisfy regulatory institutions.

- The successful candidate will be responsible for the review and oversight of American Express institutional models.

- Responsible for providing leadership to the team responsible for the validation of American Express consumer and small business portfolio

- The desired candidate must have master's degree from Premier B school or top Statistical institutes

Desired skills:

- Provide leadership for several team members

- Oversee model inventory and classification of models into importance tiers

- Maintain and continuously improve the validation methodology for statistical models

- Maintain and continuously improve the validation methodology for commercial credit ratings

- Review logical and conceptual soundness of models

- Review model inputs for appropriateness and data integrity

- Review statistical techniques and financial frameworks used for model development

- Review model documentation

- Write formal model validation assessments and share with the various stakeholders

- Tracking validation findings and the reviewing/monitoring the resolution of the findings

- Perform ongoing model performance evaluation

- Perform obligor rating review (Credit rating assessment of randomly selected obligors)

- Act as a Liaison with the Central Rating Utility’s Credit Committee

- Oversee model change management

- Oversee model implementation
