Director - Market Place Seller Operations

- Looking for an individual who can collaborate and thrive in a fast pace & entrepreneurial environment, customer driven/obsession, think like an owner, good business instinct/judgment, demonstrate and foster innovative thinking, use the latest tools and technology to analyze data and insights to manage and improve seller performance, while ensuring excellent customer experience.

- The Director, Marketplace Seller Operations will play a key role in driving the strategic direction, program development and business support activities for the Marketplace program.

- The Successful candidate should be quick learner, strategic thinker, problem solver, deeply analytical, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. This role is heavily cross-functional, requiring working knowledge and coordination with merchandising, legal/finance, marketing, operations, and technical teams.

- This is an ideal role for a candidate who loves defining and building new businesses and isn't shy to get into the tactics to execute against.

Position Description (Job Responsibilities) :

- Define business strategies and tactics to improve seller performance through the use of analytic tools, reporting, and knowledge bases.

- Generate value for marketplace sellers, evolving the tools, capabilities, and partnering with cross functional teams to drive technical product improvements.

- Drive seller adoption of new tools and capabilities to improve performance.

- Evolve operating plans for seller support and triage to improve seller satisfaction and sales productivity

- Manage existing team of around 20, that are involved with marketplace seller support and recast their role in the light of improving seller performance, redefine existing processes, improve SLA's and automate existing processes with an objective to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of the support functions.

Minimum Qualifications :

- 10-12 years of related work experience in online/ e-commerce

- Master's Degree, preferably from an engineering/ management institute of repute.

- Deep understanding of eCommerce/Marketplace

- Remarkable and consistent track record of success and a strong general business sense/ knowledge base.

- Strong problem solving skills

- Detail oriented and strong follow through abilities

- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach develop and motivate a team.

- Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate vision and motivate people at every level, cooperative working style

- Proficient in Salesforce CRM, productivity tools and technologies including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Internet, Webinar and social media.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent strategic, analytical and quantitative skills

- Excellent time management and project management skills.

- The flexibility to manage changes in priorities and business demands.
