Location: Noida or Pune  Company: 100 years old IT product Engineering Firm (Fortune 500 company)  Director of Engineering  Core Functional Responsibilities  - Drive operational efficiency between product lines and functions.   - Responsible for budget planning and development for respective product lines.   - Responsible for the communication of the company vision and a key contributor to the Vision and strategic planning for the line of business.   - Directs team planning activities and assists in the departmental planning communication.   - Responsible for understanding both business and customer needs and balancing those with prioritizing the projects in accordance with Product Management guidance.   - Communicates and fosters smooth interactions within your team and the rest of global Engineering. Build rapport throughout the organization   - Responsibility for a thorough understanding the business as it relates to their product line and knowledge of the other offerings in the business.   - Directs projects according to business needs, corporate strategy, technical feasibility and resource availability (people, money, time).   - Contributes to Engineering organizational structure and design   - Manages a team of Managers and/or Supervisors, and in absence of a Manager or Supervisor, manages more junior staff.   Experience  - Bachelor's Degree from tier 1 institutes  - 15+ years of related work experience, preferably with at least 7 years of experience in a management role.   - Knowledge of computer languages, operating systems, and hardware capabilities.   - Data integration : DB knowledge, ETL knowledge, Big data, Cloud sources  - Data Quality : Lucene, Elastic search, ML and NLP for Entity extraction  - DQC : CRM systems knowledge, WS integration  Core Competencies  - Financial Responsibility   - Impact & Influence   - Managing Global Teams   - Negotiation Skills   - Team Leadership   Key Distinction of Position Level  Contributor to the Vision and strategic planning for Engineering.   Often responsible for the delivery of more than one product line and product delivery results within those product lines as agreed with Product Management.
