DBS delivers services to all Diageo markets and across all functions. The Project Manager will typically lead a projects with a complex multi geography/functional/process/system footprint. Risk to business operations, change impact, and compliance/controls is in the mid to high range

The role is expected to play a broad and impactful role in delivering the DBS Productivity Agenda. The role holder will be required to move between strategy and operational details to set priorities for a diverse project team so as to keep them aligned and focused to ensure brilliant execution.

There are a number of key senior stakeholder both internally and externally with whom effective business partnering relationships are essential (Tower Leads, BRMs, Service Delivery Leads, GM- s, FD's etc.). Stakeholders and sponsor will typically sit on market or functional leadership teams within the organisation.

This role will lead the delivery of medium to high complexity projects and that may have multiple workstreams or deployments.

1. Plans, Organises & Communicates: Proactively anticipates impacts of the current and future project phases, thinks through issues in advance, anticipates and resolves before issues develop. Ensures the team understand what to do in the next phase and is ready for it in advance. Can translate the plans and issues into business speak that makes sense to business stakeholders

2. Owns end to end project delivery: Inspires and leads the team to deliver against the plan and timelines. Creates integration across diverse team members with different individual styles and backgrounds. Holds project team and stakeholders to account and can have tough conversations in a positive way. Assures all appropriate compliance and control requirements are met.

3. Accountable for rigorous project/programme governance: Establishes at the outset a clear & robust governance model and uses that governance to drive decisions & outcomes, drive engagement and management of stakeholders

4. Delivers business outcomes: Ensures everyone is engaged behind the same outcome. Everyone understands the agenda and is clear on what they need to do to deliver against it. Resilient and resourceful, can problem solve and does not let problems stop them- they figure out a way to move forward

5. Manages Change: Builds credibility with stakeholders by:

a) Presenting facts in a clear way with recommendations and proposals

b) Follows through, does not drop the ball

c) Holds the tension until the right answer is reached

d) Has their own view

- Experience of delivering Shared service transition projects

- Excellent organisational leadership capability

- Demonstrated project management and methodology experience

- Demonstrated capability to build and maintain good business relationships

- Excellent programme/project governance skills

- Excellent pan cultural impact and influencing skills
