Job Description :   Position : DGM   Department : Sales/Marketing  Position Reporting to : Head of Sales & Marketing  Qualifications : Degree - Electrical/Mechanical/ Science Graduate / B Pharma /Additional Qualifications in Solid dosage /Bio Pharma process desirable but not compulsory. Management Qualifications highly desired.  Experience : 15-18 years (At least 4-5 years as Branch Manager or Regional Manager)   Place of Posting : Mumbai  Area/ Industry in which experience desired :  - Pharmaceutical Solid Dosage/Bio Pharma preferred but other Industry where Industrial Marketing experience to Direct Consumers is acceptable.   - The focus is on Skills to manage a Sales Team and hence people management is important along with ability to lead the team to generate sales and sustainable business for the organization.   - The person should be handling sales of heavy engineering capital goods.  Key Responsibilities (Deliverables) :  - Take overall Administrative responsibility for Domestic Sales.  - Supervise the Sales team for achieving Sales & Collection targets.  - Develop market development plan for the allotted territory and implement the same through the sales team.  - Analyzing Customer wise Sales trend and conducting a Plan v/s Actual review for individual Sales officers.  - Releasing MIS reports to the Management.  - Monitor performance of Individual sales Officer through weekly reports & review.  - Control receivables by ensuring payment collection on due dates and achieve targets for Collection.  - Periodic review and reconciliation of customer accounts.  - Lead Price Negotiations to achieve desired Realization.  - Develop new customers for the existing products by expanding the customer base.  - Develop new customers for new products introduced by the company.  - Develop new customers in new markets for existing products.  - Engage the principals and partners and build confidence in them  Key activities :   - Visit Customers with sales Officers and individually.  - Continuously review sales Performance with Individual sales officers.  - Continuously review Collection performance with Sales officers.   - Collate weekly reports and submit summary report for the region.  - Interact with Production, QA & Finance for resolving issues related to Sales.  - Guide the Sales officers to achieve desired results by leading them in the field.  - Visit Principals and share the progress made plan going forward  - Explore possibilities to expand the product range to create growth path for the organisation  - Resolving disputes with customers  - Timely release of MIS reports  Key Competencies required :  Functional :  - Good Commercial knowledge with in depth knowledge and application of Sales tax rules, excise rules, banking terms like Letter of Credit, Bill discounting etc.  - Communication skills both verbal & written with good presentation skills.  - Computer proficiency with expertise in MSExcel, MS Word and Powerpoint.  - Technical Knowledge on Pharmaceutical /Bio Pharma desirable .
