Job Purpose:  Finance Controller will own, drive and lead the entire Finance Controller Operations. This position would directly work with and report to the Director Finance. Position is expected to provide the leadership for the entire Finance, Accounting, Taxation and Statutory Compliance functions  Principle Account abilities :  Improvise and Maintain General Accounting Procedures and operations and follow Statutory compliance as per Indian Standards  - Interpreting and analyze potential accounting risks and issues on account reconciliations and financial systems, to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records, and timely preparation of reliable financial information.  - Responsible for maintaining the business's chart of accounts and keeping the financial records in accordance with India GAAP, U.S. GAAP, tax, legal and Company. requirements.  - Maintain timely documented general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, analysis, finalizations of Books of Accounts, balance sheet reconciliation process, consolidation and controlling of budgeted P&L.  - Coordination with Shared Services for ensuring proper cost center accounting.  - Maintain compliance related to direct tax i.e. Income Tax return and indirect taxes i.e. Service tax, VAT.  - Lead the compliance for accounting with multiple entities with related party transactions and consolidation of accounts.  - Responsible for liasoning with Auditors and ensuring that Statutory and Tax Audits are completed within the given statutory timelines.  Implement Internal Controls :  - Oversees the internal budget processes to support business in the annual budget process and monitoring of budgets during the year.  - Regular review of business process/systems and evaluation of various financial operating processes i.e. Purchasing, Selling, Marketing and Service etc. and assess with proper control measurements.  - Responsible for continuously improving the business financial process from a quality and productivity perspective using benchmarking and best practice information.  - Responsible of controls for sales commercial processes.  - Prepares reports on a regular basis that include monthly financial statements, cost reports, budgeting, forecasting reports   Cost/Funds Managements :  - Should strategize, plan and lead the cost reduction techniques like automation of finance processes and delivered sustainable results in a short time.  - Ensuring availability of funds as per requirement & optimum utilization by different departments.  - Responsible for Liasoning with Company Banks (s) wrt. Treasury related activities, covering rates, negotiations for borrowing Vetting domestic LC's terms and negotiation thereof, Bank guarantee for project customers  Team Development :  - Ensure team members possess the desired knowledge, skills and attitude to effectively perform their job.  - Play an active role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of the team  - Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance and recommend appropriate rewards and recognition.  - Ensure that finance team maintains good relations with other departments and work in close coordination in order to effect a meaningful results  Personal Characteristics & Behaviors :  - Prior ERP implementation experience and drive for system improvements  - Strong Leadership Skills.  - Structured Thought process.  - In-depth understanding of Accounting, Corporate Finance, Project Finance & Company laws.  - Leadership and ability to build scalable processes & improve control mechanism.  - Strong Planning and execution skills.  - Practical knowledge of financial techniques and instruments.  - Ability to work in a complex matrix structure  - Communicates with and demonstrates integrity, honesty and professionalism  - Remains open to ideas.
