PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES  Accountabilities Major Activities Key Performance Indicators  Logistics Management - Responsible for following up with suppliers for timely delivery of critical raw materials till they reach the designated plant  - Establishment system of timely dispatch of material to the plant  - Monitor dispatch efficiency - both inbound and out bound  - Outbound Logistics: Responsible for ensuring timely delivery to customers at optimal logistics cost  - Manage storage and dispatch of finished goods  - Going into effective transport agreements and contracts  - Evaluation of alternative modes of transport  - Work closely with sales team to understand dispatch schedules and plan the same - Reduction in logistics cost  - 100 % OTIF  Engineering and Spares purchase and services  - Responsible for purchase of routine engineering material at the plant   - Co-ordinate with the central procurement team for any requirement at the plant and ensure timely delivery  - Responsible for the procurement of the spare part & maintenance solution   - Prepare concepts and commercial propositions for service, heavy maintenance, spare engines, spare final drives, corrective additional works, etc   - Liaise with suppliers to negotiate and procure service agreements for running maintenance.   - Lead the process of settlements for commercial issues and technical-based disputes, in co-operation with Head - Maintenance and Engineering - Timely procurement of the raw material  - % Improvement in cost of ownership  Vendor Management - Identify the most suitable vendors for procuring engineering goods and co-ordinate with the corporate for the same  - Maintain relationships with the vendors and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information about the market best practices  - Ensure timely payouts to the vendors  - Work with the Engineering Head to identify and develop vendors for spares and service supply  - Reduce supplier radius  - Provide supplier ratings based on departmental feedback  - Regular follow up with vendors for timely supply - Long term relationships with vendors  - Vendor feedback  Warehouse management - Supervising, training and hiring of employees to work in the warehouse either as laborers, equipment operators, clerks or inventory control personnel.   - Ensuring proper scheduling employees, truck drivers, arranging drop offs and deliveries and scheduling loading dock use of mechanized equipment such as forklifts.   - Ensuing that all appropriate product and material safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and safety of inventory.   - Checking and verifying shipping records, handling questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages and addressing any problems with inventory control.   - Meeting with new and existing clients to determine their needs for warehouse space, entering into storage contracts and entering information into various software programs to monitor use of the facility.   - Ensure 5s and other warehouse best practices - 100% Score on ware house audit  Plant Support - Provide support to the production team with respect to timely follow up with vendors on material  - Have adequate inventory a per requirement  - Support inventory analysis and reordering level adjustment with the technical team  - Ensure that there is no stoppage of plant or project work due to non availability of material - Timely availability of material at the plant
