Job Title: DGM - Human Resources
Key Role of the DGM-HR is to lead the entire HR operations and activities for the corporate group as well as for all the client schools. The DGM-HR is expected to initiate/build/lead/drive the following:
- talent acquisition
- recruitment
- payroll (compensation & benefits)
- employee engagement
- people strategy
- strategy for HR
Chief Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and drive corporate HR and line HR functions at a company where growth trajectory is extremely ambitious and time sensitive
- Manage the current team comprising close to 20 members (executives, senior executives and managers)
- Recruit, on an annual basis, close to 500 teachers and 400 sales executives within stipulated budgets
- Recruit for leadership positions and explore more creative and cost efficient ways of hiring persons across various positions
- Initiate a performance management system that caters to different types of business needs
- Streamline payroll that is being administered for 3500+ persons for accurate and timely processing of salaries
- Improve current attendance management systems to make them more robust and better able to cope with escalations
- Train and develop HR business partner teams in responding to needs of the Business in an efficient and timely manner
- Create a calendar of key HR activities and roll them out in a phased manner
- Build and maintain stronger compliance systems with a target of addressing a first-time, intensive HR audit
- Draft a more detailed HR policy documentation with inputs from stakeholders
- Initiate more engaging employee engagement activities which promote a defined culture of the company and include voice of the employee as part of this process
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Number of years of experience - 7-10 years
Qualifications: MBA with premier b school
- Preference will be given to candidates with strong retail / operations experience in HR
- Strong People management skills
