Operations: Global Wealth & Investment Management Operations comprises of deep domain operations, servicing the wealth management for affluent and high net worth clients. Clients have access to a range of services offered through its several businesses like Global Wealth & Retirement Solutions, Banking & Brokerage, Investment Solutions and the Trust Operations, GWIM Banking, U.S. Trust and Private Wealth Management.

The operational structure provides comprehensive service to all major wealth management verticals across bank for both the Merrill and the US Trust areas providing retirement and benefit plan services, philanthropic solutions and asset management to individuals and institutions.

There are 4 main verticals that we service:

- Trust Operations & Client Services

- Banking / Brokerage Operations & Client Services

- Retirement Services Technology & Operations

- Investment Solutions and Client On-boarding Services

The group is a total of ~200 Associates and Domain Specialists who work across 18X5 window Timeline to support Wealth Operations for US based customers .

Job Description:

- Vice president Global Wealth & Investment Management Operations: The Role also called as Delivery Lead GWIM Operations involves leading from the front on all areas of Operations across all 4 + GWIM Verticals. Provides leadership in the areas of industry knowledge, management expertise, business practices, and associate development.

- Delivering on Day to Day measurements and Performance indicators including ensuring all critical and expected CTQ's are met and exceeded. Identifies new opportunities to leverage and broaden Bank's capabilities on behalf of the Leadership and Innovates and also executes on all not limited to Initiatives, imperatives and aligned areas of importance.

- Team handling and management is a critical part of the role including relationship management both with LOB and Internal Customers.

- Leads effectively the entire Operations team across NCR and Chennai

- Lead new initiatives to improve efficiency and drive business imperatives / initiatives

- Collaborate across teams in the Bank and its partners in US/India

- Responsible for staffing, budget and team related decisions

- Supervises a team of employees and directs activities for execution and sets vision for the organization.

- Demonstrate a sense of urgency, dedication and passion for exceeding the expectations of internal / business teams through accuracy & efficiency

- Acts as Single Point of contact and Accountable for all operational and leadership activities

- Accountable for Business projects and taking lead around all of them

- Point-of-Contact for communications between the partners /lob leads and Senior Management

- Manage various levels (status calls, defect review sessions, Go/No -Go decisions) of communications between all stake holders.

- Justify the decisions and provide adequate reporting information where applicable.

- Identify Risk and Issues raised based Metrics and Develop Contingency Plans

- Responsible for planning Risk Effectiveness, BCP and all readiness areas

- Responsible for Mentoring the entire Test team and ensure all the Training needs are met

- Partner with the Project Team to ensure Test team is aligned completely to meet the Goals of the Project

- Conduct Process and Security Compliance Audit to ensure all Procedures are met.

- Responsible for Analyzing and reviewing the Upstream and Downstream Dependencies and End to End processes

- Coordinate with the Technology team to analyze the environmental challenges and existing production impacts- Drive Tech with Operations

- Responsible for ensuring Test Team meets schedule as per the Work Break Down structure

- Promote and provide support on process improvement initiatives and rollouts

- Business Operations Risk Assessment - Access Controls

- Provide transparency into activities, challenges, issues observed within teams

- Responsible for being a guide friend and a leader to the team - Walks the Talk

Requirements Mandatory skills:

Education:

- MBA / Post Graduate with 14+ years of Relevant experience with at least

- 7+ years of Team Management and Handling experience

- Knowledge of core banking functions, processes and operations

- Knowledge of Finance Area, Investment & wealth Management especially around Fiduciary, Managed Products, Custody, 401 K management and Trust Operations will be handy.

- Strong and proven people management skills

- Excellent verbal and written skills, to include interpersonal and presentation skills

- Extensive experience of working for or with a Fortune 50 US company and be a team player in a multi-cultural and global team environment

- Experience in handling large operation teams with multi level matrix reporting responsibilities and initiatives delivery

- Experience in working with various stakeholders including but not limited to Business a specific area / Multi Dimensional Ability to Multi Task

- Should have worked in Matrix organization and managed larger programs with resources working in multiple locations and time zones

- Experience in organization level audit programs and ensured compliance at all company processes

- Good understanding Operational Challenges, opportunities and Key abilities

- Experience of Transitions and new Capabilities being set up in BFS segments

- Project Management Experience of sorts basis Core Projects or Six Sigma delivery
