Job Purpose  To strategize, develop & implement the external communication to promote DBS vision & strategy. To position, create awareness & market the DBS India brand. To manage all digital, collateral support, events, tie-ups & promotions for brand DBS  Key Accountabilities :   - Manage the DBS Brand. Ensure that all material, whether specifically related to marketing (e.g. campaign material) or not (e.g. letters to customers) conform to brand standards. Brand standards include Visual Identity. No deviations should be allowed.  - Lead development and execution of in-country annual marketing campaigns & plans with assistance and input from all business heads of the bank. Related activities include development of marketing briefs, costings, creative sign-off, annual marketing plans, etc.  - Support business teams (CBG, IBG and GTS Product managers) to understand and address the requirements of each type of customer. Deliver a marketing plan for relationship led engagement initiatives targeting value driven customers for each business segment. The focus will continue to remain on delivery of marketing elements, and helping customer acquisition.   - Actively build the DBS brand through strategic alliances, targeted activities and events for lead generation and adding value for customers. Build value generating loyalty and incentive programs and initiatives for customers - enabling a tangible and discretely different value delivery perspective as compared to competition.   - Arrange & Manage events, collateral support & logistics around the launch of campaigns in-country, including creating plans for distribution of materials and communication to the branch and other networks  Job Duties & Responsibilities :   - Ensuring customer connect through establishment of a communication channel with customers e.g. Customer newsletter/mailer.   - Contribute to the design of the format and target audience for customer events. Own the process for design of invitations, look and feel, entertainment and all other items related to the event to ensure that it promotes the correct messages and that it complies with brand standards  - Ensure that all in-branch materials are displayed or used as intended and that material in branches are kept up to date. This is done by interfacing with Branch Managers & Executives in branches and by conducting regular visits to samples of branches for each new campaign.  - Arrange logistics for customer events based on the requirements of the businesses, primarily by interfacing with providers  - Research/ observe competitor marketing campaigns and make on how plans can be improved for local market conditions taking into account the competitor environment.  - Product & Process Training to be imparted directly & through appointed staff & agencies to ensure thorough understanding of brand positioning & product offerings.  - Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are complied with before launching any marketing campaigns or using brands or messages or text from outside DBS.  - Develop and maintain an accurate database of print volumes by branch.  - Ensuring that team members in the agency partners are motivated to deliver in strict timelines.  Required Experience :   - Experience of delivering client communications material and/ or campaigns in the financial services industry  Core Competencies :   - Communication skills (verbal & written)  - Knowledge of communication tools, methods  - Media and Event management.  - Understanding of bank's products, services and policies.  - Ability to strategize, conceptualise and execute marketing strategies  - Ability to work with local/global team to support development of DBS brand in India  - Sound understanding of Marketing techniques, media (all), creative and integration with Business.  - Detailed understanding of propositions, products and local market dynamics.  Technical Competencies :   - The ability to pre-empt product challenges, customer likes and dislikes and building initiatives around the experience the customer can have while choosing DBS  - Carry clear understanding of the overall business and the direction each area relevant to the role is taking, to ensure positive outcome   - Ability to deal with pressure  - Ability to deliver on time in challenging conditions which a relatively new brand may typically pose  - Understanding of the regulatory, business, social environment that the bank operates in. Awareness of regulatory requirements related to brands, trademarks, general communications etc.  Work Relationship :   - Constantly working with Product teams. Keeping abreast with overall business and sharing responsibilities  - Interact with DBS Staff to ensure implementation of marketing strategies, feedback and effectiveness measurement  - Conducting Agency briefing sessions and evaluating their performance
