Country Head of Sales & Distribution  DataWind Inc. is a global leader in the development of consumer electronics and strives to provide world-wide internet connectivity. We offer a series of wireless web access devices and related web delivery platforms, including tablets and smart phones.  We are currently hiring a Country Head of Sales & Distribution based out of Gurgaon, responsible for establishing a national distribution channel for our Aakash/Ubislate tablets & smart phones through independent retailers.   Reporting to the CEO and in collaboration with local executives, this quota-carrying position requires the incumbent to; negotiate agreements with various distributors, maintain channel partnerships and expand our distribution network as well as increase brand recognition and sales growth.  Responsibilities :  - Set up national distribution channels with distributors, sub-distributors, OEM's and value-added re-sellers (VAR)  - Maintain and develop relationships with key account channel partners   - Negotiate and manage agreements with various network distributors who will in turn identify and sell to independent retailers in traditional trade outlets such as; general stores, corner shops and Kiranas   - Spear-head sales campaigns driving penetration and revenue growth in unrepresented markets   - Set and analyze sales funnel management metrics and lead focused team with access to multi-channels   - Coordinate with Marketing team to implement strategies to; expand customer base, develop value-added features and new product launches as well as manage marketing budgets  Key Qualifications :  - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related field is required. Post-graduate degree in relevant field or an MBA (marketing) is an asset  - 7+ years experience as a senior level sales executive in consumer electronics (preferably mobile devices)  - 5+ years of experience acquiring contracts and agreements with distributors and traditional trade outlets in rural areas (on a national level)   - Demonstrated knowledge of various selling techniques   - Enthusiastic self-starter with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPI) and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, results-oriented environment  - Strong interpersonal communication and public relations skills  - Local candidates only - Willingness to travel
