Data Scientist - Retail Analytics Portfolio

Data Scientist

Primary Responsibilities :

- Conceptualize, design and execute analytical models to embed within the Retail Analytics portfolio, working with a team of data scientists

- Test model performance against competitive approaches to evolve alternative modeling options

- Responsible for conceiving and providing relevant modeling solutions using innovative techniques. The person will be required to design solution, develop methodology, identify data sources, identify and test techniques, lead modeling process and guide in implementing solutions.

- Be the solutions consultant on customer deployments, pre-sales consulting, and user adoption

Required Qualifications

Experience : 4-10 Years in Optimization techniques and Analytics

- Advanced degree in quantitative sciences M.S. / Ph.D. (Preferred )

- Past experience working on Optimization.

- Experience in developing and deploying quantitative analytical models in supply chain and merchandising domains. Experience in retail industries will be a plus

- Experience in areas of pricing, forecasting, allocation, inventory optimization

- Experience in working with Spark and R

- Experience with developing solutions using optimization techniques, prediction techniques and pattern searching methods on large scale data

- Deep expertise in Machine Learning techniques such as Unsupervised/Supervised learning, Support Vector Machines, Neural Nets, Bayesian Statistics, Regression, etc

- Strategic thinking and project management skills in complex deployment scenarios

- Ability to work with global, cross-location organizations in an entrepreneurial environment

- Excellent communication skills

- Should be precise and result oriented and be able to develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment or experience/expertise
