Data Scientist - IT

Required :

- At least 4-5 years of relevant experience

Machine Learning - Algorithm design, analysis and development and performance improvement

- Strong understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering, classification, regression techniques, and recommendation (collaborative filtering) algorithms

- Time Series Analysis

- Data Science

- Good experience in exploratory data analysis and feature design & development

- Experience of applying and evaluating ML algorithms to practical predictive modeling scenarios in various verticals including (but not limited to) FMCG, Media, E-commerce and Hospitality.

- Proficient with programming in R, Python & PySpark. Parallel ML algorithms design and development and usage for maximal performance on multi-core, distributed and/or GPU architectures.

Good programming skills :

- Ability to write clean testable code with unit testing with proper coding conventions.

- Ability to analyze data structures and algorithms write scalable code.

- Understanding of design patterns, modeling requirements as objects.

- Ability to think in oriented code or functional programming.

- Experience in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets using one or more of tools including SAS, Tableau, SPSS.

- Good coding experience in Spark, Hadoop/Pig, Java/Scala

- Team player and good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred :

- Experience in usage of Big Data Analytics and Tools - Hadoop, SQL, Hive, HBase

- Good experience in Natural Language Processing and its applications

- Experience and understanding of Mathematical Optimization formulations, Linear, MILP & Quadratic Programming, Game Theory
