- You have expertise in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Statistics and Data Mining.

- You excel in writing and deploying robust, structured code (preferably Python, Java or Scala).

- You can prepare scripts in languages like Python, R, Matlab, Julia or Octave.

- You are familiar with the latest data science trends, tools and packages.

- You have knowledge of NoSQL DBs like Neo4j and MongoDB and Lucene based search-engines like ElasticSearch, Solr, etc.

- You are really smart and you have some way of proving it (e.g. you hold a MS/M.Tech or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics or related field).

- There is at least one project on your resume that you are extremely proud to present.

- You have well-above-average written and verbal communication skills.

Good to have:

- Experience in a data-driven environment: Leveraging analytics and large amounts of (streaming) data to drive significant business impact.

- Knowledge of MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, etc.

- Experience in creating compelling data visualizations.
