Crisil - Sovereign - Credit Analyst -

Functional Responsibility / Domain Related

- Engage in credit / economic research with S&P analysts on sovereigns.

- Be responsible for timeliness and quality deliverables to S&P.

- Understand the requirements of the S&P analysts; gain high level of familiarity with all analytical issues concerning sovereign risk, which include becoming conversant with the criteria involved in sovereign ratings, intelligent information gathering, macroeconomic analysis, and tracking trends in key data points.

- Execute the work under guidance from the Manager and in consultation with the S&P analyst, regularly interact with the S&P analyst to keep him / her updated on the progress.

- Get updates on various issues, actively participate in the regular review meetings, alert the S&P analyst, and the Manager about any exceptions or any difficulties which emerge or may emerge in the smooth execution of work.

- Develop expertise in the domain of macro-economics / international public finance (strong macro-economic understanding, national income accounting and international trade) to be able to gain expertise in sovereign risk analysis and assist S&P in various assignments.

- Be conversant with spreadsheets and report writing.

- Execute analytical assignments related to sovereign ratings, such as preparation of sector specific or analytical commentaries, summaries and rationales, and special projects related to sovereigns globally, both independently and in a team.

- Participate in conference calls with S&P analysts, internal discussion forums and rating committee meetings.

- Strictly practice and follow all Information Security Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Organization.
