Job title : RA/SRA - EMEA Strategy

Location : Mumbai

Experience : 2-4 years

Job Duties :

- Using databases such as FactSet, Bloomberg and DataStream (and the built in analytical tools) for pulling data at company/sector/country/global level and analysing it

- Analysing large datasets to identify patterns and trends and arrive at meaningful conclusions that can be used for equity investment decisions

- Using statistical tools to back-test datasets and ensure consistency of trends, and build further predictive models based on this

- Use output from statistical analysis to build investible portfolios

- Writing research notes and preparing associated charts and tables.

- Working on client requests by collating data from public and internal resources, and putting it in a meaningful format

- Creating efficient processes through effective use of MS Office tools, VBA, C++

Qualification : MSc Statistics + MBA

Skills Required:

- Knowledge and application of statistical concepts: correlation, covariance, information ratios

- Good understanding of portfolio building, including using market neutral and alternative beta strategies

- Good analytical capability to identify and explore long term trends, generate ideas

- Basic understanding of equity concepts

- Basic knowledge of VBA and C++

- Strong excel and database management skills; MS Office proficiency

- Working knowledge of FactSet (use of alpha testing tool), Bloomberg, DataStream

- Strong written English skills, ability to draft research reports
