CRISIL Foundation - Full Time Consultant- 10-12 yrs of Experience in Financial Inclusion (10-12 yrs)

The Position: Project Leader

Designation : Consultant

Department : CRISIL Foundation

Location : Mumbai

Duties :

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, of CRISIL Foundation and working collaboratively with other colleagues of the Foundation team. Over a period of time, the Project Leader will be required to anchor the projects that can be across multiple geographic locations.

Specific Responsibilities

Specifically, the Project Leader will :

- Anchor the complete project and work with the partner organisation to develop & finalise the detailed project implementation plan (PIP). This will include

- Due diligence of potential partners to review and finalise the project outreach

- Conducting training need assessment (TNA) and field visits to understand the requirements of target audience,

- Lead the development of content outline and detailed module on financial inclusion as per project requirement,

- Develop the overall training delivery plan in association with partner organisation,

- Liaison with other stakeholders, financial institutions and agencies in the project location for resource mapping and establishing financial linkages for the project,

- Monitor & manage the PIP team, conduct periodic monitoring and evaluation independently and through impact assessment agencies; monitor input & outcome indicators and overall budget ; create and administer need based MIS and maintain its quality to make recommendations on the execution strategy and fine tune the interventions.

- Add value with his/her own knowledge/expertise on emerging issues and trends in the field of financial inclusion and integrate practices/knowledge into the projects wherever applicable.

- Communicate to the Foundation about the progress and learnings from projects with steady inflow of data based evidence and related analysis. Integrate the suggestions received and make quick course corrections within the project wherever necessary.

- Expand the Foundation's knowledge base, develop new ideas, review and evolve project strategy, maintain high level contacts and good working relationships with all counterparts/project partners/similar organisations.

Qualifications :

- Masters- degree (Agribusiness Management/ Rural Development/Management/allied). Any advanced degree with specialisation in Financial Inclusion sector will be of additional value.

Experience :

- 10 -12 years- experience in rural agricultural credit/ financial inclusion/banking services or related field is required. This experience can include working with a private Institution/ international or donor organisation/ private or host-government entity/institutions working in diverse geographies. Experience of working to expand financial inclusion to both rural and urban households will be highly valued.

- Prior experience of designing training modules and offering trainings in financial inclusion would be additional asset. Substantive knowledge of agriculture based banking products & services available in rural and urban economy, features, key issues and emerging trends and priorities in financial inclusion is expected.

- Ability to travel vigorously to project locations.

- Expected to bring fresh ideas to improve the quality and impact of the project interventions.

- Interact effectively with senior management of partner organizations and work collaboratively to implement the projects. Must be highly motivated, enterprising, and results-oriented along with strong communication and listening skills.

- Ability to set and achieve clear objectives and deadlines. Receptive to new ideas and is also willing to change when presented with best options.
