Requirements:

IB Background

Basic knowledge of financial products

Credit Risk Reporting experience (1-6 years) / Financial reporting

Risk Management

The Risk Department is broadly organised according to the main risk classes; Market Risk, Credit Risk and Operational Risk. The Risk Department provides senior management with an independent view of the principal risks taken by individual business units. Credit Risk Management (CRM) is an independent risk oversight function, reporting to the Global Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Its mandate is to support the Firm’s corporate values and management objectives by ensuring it takes appropriate credit risks commensurate with its risk appetite.

To achieve that, CRM has professionals located in each of the Firm’s principal Regions, employing a range of qualitative and quantitative analytical skills needed to a) provide independent credit risk management oversight; b) continuously monitor and rate all the Firm’s counterparties; c) evaluate and approve credit exposures (subject to established credit authority guidelines and approval procedures; d) provide timely and accurate credit data and analysis to the Firm’s management, Business Units and Regulators.

Credit Risk Middle Office (CRMO)

The CRMO Team is part of CRM and reports to the Global COO of CRM. CRMO is comprised of staff in all the regional locations with responsibility to monitor and report on counterparty, lending, cash deposits and inventory credit exposures; to manage the processing of credit limit requests and specific trade requests; to validate and improve the integrity of data used in exposure calculations; liaison with business units and other operational/support areas eg. Client On-boarding; Legal, Collateral Mgmt; IMM capital processes and reporting as well as production of management information.

This role reports to Head of CRMO Powai reporting & also functionally liaising with the Global MI Head. The candidate will perform the duties outlined below.

Item Detailed functions

Job Overview - Specific support toteam lead and Global Head brief in relation to Global MI reporting both internally and Regulatory

- Production of reporting to ensure consistent data output, including regulatory, ad-hoc and project analysis

- Credit exposure monitoring and investigation / analysis / resolution of exposure exceptions across all entities.

- Liaison with Projects, Market Risk and credit analysts, support departments

- Assistance in the production all reporting formats and communications

- Data reconciliations / Data analysis

- Operate during London hours

Key Objectives

Critical to Success of the Role

- As a Senior member of the team;

- Produce key reports unaided

- Validation / 4 eyes review of junior members output both in Powai and London

- Ability to coordinate own workload to ensure timely / accurate business-as-usual reporting

- Ability to interrogate and manipulate data through MS Excel

- Ability to investigate, analyse and resolve complex data quality issues under compressed timescales

- Provide assistance to senior members of the team

- Mentor junior team members in best practices

Skills & Experience

Required

- Knowledge of Credit Risk / Credit risk reporting

- 4-5 years + experience in a similar role

- Fair understanding of Financial Products For E.g. Derivatives, CDS, Options etc

- Reporting experience in financial reporting or risk reporting or regulatory risk reporting

- Knowledge of the different exposure measures such as MTM / PE / EPE / credit limits

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft apps PowerPoint and Excel together with familiarity and comprehension of MS SQL

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Organisational skills, multi-tasking and detail oriented,

- Delivery focussed with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines under compressed timescales

Qualification -

- B-Com or M-Com or

- MBA in Finance or

- Professional course like FRM
