Core Domain Consultant - Senior Business Analyst - Food & Food Services Area

Description:Senior Business Analyst is a Core Domain Consultant position specialized in Food & Food Services area. He/she will be an active partner in steering the client's organization with fact based material and analyze for optimization, utilization and improvements and act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the internal/external development teams. The activities include (but not limited to), support the business processes with data collection, analysis and proposing solutions and understanding its impact on systems and processes. Coordinate with development teams throughout the development process to answer questions, clarify and assist with the solution within Food and Food service business areas.

Responsibilities:

- Lead, participate and contribute in Business/Information Technology projects and possess the ability to do domain consulting/advisory services (Business process Improvement/RE-Engineering, Gap analysis etc.)

- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for documenting the Business rules, Requirements and Build strong working relationships with Product owners/Solution owners based on trust and mutual accountability.

- Quantify issues/problems of interest by understanding the data of importance to engage stakeholders and using it to clarify the need for action. This may include gathering and analysis of supporting data, interviewing involved parties and presentation of findings to an executive-level audience.

- Perform business analysis of identified process and software gaps or inefficiencies and develop plans to fill those gaps along with ensuring compliance with agreed architectures, IT strategy principles, and recommendations in feasibility studies and projects.

- Identify outcome measurement best practices and data sources across multiple applications and more broadly within the Food value chain. Share findings to evolve the thinking and practices.

- Ability to identify issues and develop frameworks to investigate root causes and formulate solutions; have analytical capability and desire to work towards solutions in areas of ambiguity

Skills & Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge and working experience in any of the mentioned areas - Food and Food Services industry, Hospitality, Grocery, Restaurants, QSR, Food distributors and its dependencies.

- Broad understanding of Food industry and trends& technology, supply chain, emerging food safety risks, understanding of constantly increasing food regulations by FDA, Pest control features notably in prerequisite programs (PRPs) for food manufacture and forming part of the GMPs helping to make a HACCP program effective.

- Must have demonstrated domain knowledge and in-depth understanding of Food Value chain operations/ functional areas

- Understanding of process of food safety measures and worked with recognizably accredited suppliers(eg EN 16636, BRC AIB) will be an advantage.

- Expertise in one of the following functional areas and exposure to other functional areas: Some of the areas (not limited to)Product Lifecycle Management, forecasting & Planning, Total Quality Management, Inventory Management (Perishable & Non-perishable), Food safety and hygiene, 3PL Management, Material planning & logistics,Risk & constraints Management, Waste Management

- Professional experience in the introduction and implementation of Lean tools &concepts and the knowledge in process redesign using these techniques.

- Must comfortably handle projects/issues with a high degree of complexity and possess a solid background in managing projects, people and establishing effective processes.

- Experience in software development efforts through the entire project lifecycle is an advantage.

- Understanding and working knowledge in any of the leading ERP or applications/tools in Food Sector will be an added advantage

- Exceptional communication skills, this includes written and verbal communications

- Must be a Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.

- Ability to Travel (short term/Long term) to any client location within short notice of time (2 weeks) is a must.
