Role Summary:

- Working with company's topic leads and PA teams, the Knowledge Analyst will own key benchmarking activities

- Support data collection and validations

- Compile client performance data into a database

- Perform performance benchmarking analysis

- Develop and draft feedback presentations for clients

- Work with Practice Areas and topic leads to leverage the data and analysis to provide insight and value for clients, both as part of the benchmarking process and also by leveraging the data for ongoing case work and proposals

- Build credibility as expert resources in data and methodology

- Own, manage and develop the database/analytics tools, improve the capabilities of current Excel databases and tools and over time lead the development and implementation of new tools (e.g., Access, advanced analytical packages, web access portals, simulation displays, etc.)

Position Responsibilities:

Own specific activities in the data and tools value chain: Work with PA colleagues to develop and improve efforts

- Work with Practice Areas on regular data collection efforts, including documentation and standardization of process and methodology

- Review incoming client data, validate it, and work with PA leads to update and refine client data so it meets quality level required

- Upload data to relevant benchmarking models, databases, and proprietary tools, and participate in building and refining models (with goal of migrating from Excel/Access to more advanced platforms)

- Perform performance benchmarking analysis, including creating peer groups, completing analysis based on organization's performance assessment framework as well as custom topics for specific clients

- Produce feedback decks for clients, including reviewing them with PA leads

- Receive and deliver ad hoc requests from case and proposal teams to leverage benchmarking databases

- Manage existing databases, ensuring data integrity and data usability by PA leads and other colleagues. On request, develop additional analytical formulas, output sheets and tools to partially automate generation of PowerPoint feedback decks. Over time, improve capabilities of the Excel databases and lead the development and implementation of new tools (e.g., Access, advanced analytical packages, web access portals, simulation displays, etc.)

Other ad hoc analytical, data and research tasks:

- When PA topic leads identify a need for ad hoc analysis and research, take lead on defining and executing analysis that will be leveraged by case teams and clients

Job Requirements:

- Strong analytical capabilities - financial and operational data, data management and manipulation

- Strong knowledge of and affinity for database and analytical tool management

- Background in coding/development abilities (SQL, Microsoft SSIS/SSAS, VBA, etc.)

- Strong ability to work with multiple PA clients in a fast-paced environment, prioritize requests and manage expectations of PA clients

- Ability to multi-task & operate effectively in a matrix organization

- 2-3+ years analytics, benchmarking, or IT development experience

- Bachelor / Master degree in related field (finance, analytics, data management, business intelligence) or 1-2 years demonstrated work experience

- Effective written & verbal communication

- Strong interpersonal and credibility skills

- Collaborative, team player with strong work ethic and service-mentality
