Hiring For Controllership (insurance Statutory Reporting)

We are urgently hiring for 'Controllership Manager"' for one of our clients, a leading BPO.

Job Role : Insurance Statutory Reporting (NAIC)

Location of Posting : Bengaluru

Total Years of Experience : 7 9 years of Insurance Experience

Minimum Qualification : University Graduate

Professional Qualification : Chartered Accountant (MUST)

Flexible to work in shifts (APAC / EMEA / US)

Key Responsibilities :

Responsible in ensuring accuracy of the submission of the following :

- Quarterly filing of the reinsurance bad debt provision (FAS 5) for all EMEA entities

- Quarterly submission of the Standard Information (SI) Return/CIRPI

- Review and approve excess of loss (XOL) booking. Co-ordination of queries with Global Reinsurance Operations (GRO) and Controllership on the booking.

- Notify GRO of any reinsurance issues that are identified from the financials and work with GRO to understand the cause of the issues and co-ordinate with Controllership on the adjustments required

- For the purpose of AIG Europe Limited (AEL) board reporting, reconcile the report provided by GRO which are reinsurance premiums, reinsurance assets and reinsurance recoverable list by ultimate reinsurers and ratings to the consolidated financial statements provided by the regional statutory reporting team.

- For the purpose of reporting to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), reconcile the major reinsurer report provided by GRO to the reported figures provided by the regional regulatory team.

- For the purpose of the annual risk management analysis, reconcile the reinsurance assets and reinsurance recoverable report provided by GRO to the figures provided by the regional statutory team

- Ensure compliance to the AIG procedure on reinsurance

Key Capabilities :

Financial and Strategic Acumen :

- Finance individual with knowledge of the Insurance industry. Strong understanding of the reinsurance accounting and reporting requirements under IFRS, and US GAAP.

Technical Skills :

- Good understanding of the US GAAP, IFRS and local reporting framework and standards.

- Excellent problem solving skills with a continuous improvement mind set. Practical experience working on complex reporting processes with strong risk & controls knowledge of large scale consolidations
