Compliance Manager - IT
Responsibilities will include :
- Monitor developments in relevant law, regulations, trends and interpretations and serve as legal contact for matters pertaining to laws and regulations applicable to the businesses
- Understand and ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including: Legislation, Ordinances, Regulations, Client requirements, HUD / FHA and GSE regulations
- Build business unit specific law and compliance frameworks
- Update and implement compliance procedures in coordination with other business, legal and compliance personnel
- Research and provide legal analysis related to business functions and activities
- Work with Law and Compliance Team to build and deliver regulatory compliant programs and processes
- Develop training strategy and deliver training that decreases regulatory risk and operational errors
- Timely creation of agreements and forms supporting the real estate services process
- Provide guidance and approval of forms, templates, and documents as well as key policies, processes and procedures
- Establish a foundation for continuous improvement, incorporating internal, external and tenant feedback
Key Result Areas :
- Integrate compliance activities of the Business Unit within the Company's Compliance Management System framework
- Prepare the Applicable Law Matrix for the Business Unit and coordinate with Business Unit to document controls
- Prepare the Risk Assessment for the Business Unit
- Establish 2016 Testing Calendar based upon the ALM and Risk Assessment and work with Compliance Testing team to design applicable tests
- Establish relationship with Business Unit for ongoing reporting and monitoring of compliance activities
- Partner with the key stakeholders to execute the reviews efficiently and provide practical recommendations for improvement in the control environment
- Perform reviews on various platforms and assessment on standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, SOX
- Ensure that all vulnerabilities are identified timely and re-mediated as per defined controls
- Regular interaction with BU leadership on vulnerabilities and associated risks associated with the environment
Qualifications and Experience :
- The ideal candidate needs to be a legal or compliance professional with a strong background working in regulatory compliance, mortgage servicing, and/or real estate, as well as information technology.
- The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to organize compliance research and implement procedures consistent with published guidelines.
