Communication Manager

Job Purpose

- To coordinate and manage key corporate communication channels and messaging to maximize impact in line with the Foundations communications strategy and to support management in strategic development areas as necessary.

Key job tasks of Communication Manager

1. Innovate novel and successful plans for the communications department.

2. Envision, initiate, outline and execute communication plans and budgets.

3. Coordinate with Development Director towards advertising the foundation.

4. Direct and encourage staff, management and media to promote foundation through reviews and interviews.

5. Coordinate with teams and business partners in planning communications successfully.

6. Mentor senior and junior staff and partners on formulating communication strategies.

7. Examine trends and assist senior staff in upgrading communication styles.

8. Develop ways and means to popularize the organization.

9. Draft out messages keeping the diversified nature of the consultants in mind.

10. Collaborate with media on various levels and initiate ideas to preserve and promote foundation reputation.

11. Create Crisis Communication Plan; updates, and management of crisis

12. Generate ideas for interviews and press coverage and consolidate relations with journalists.

13. Recruit, supervise or collaborate with inter-organizational communication personnel and other communication and advertising specialists.

14. Draft and revise project enhancement strategies, foundation magazines and newsletters.

15. Plan, promote and update foundation's promotion in web space.

16. Coordinate between real and virtual promotional strategies.

17. Direct recruitment, training and management of communication personnel.

Job specification of Communication Manager

1. MBA/Masters in Mass Communication/Advertisement/Journalism/Media

2. 8 to 12 years of PR & communication experience.

3. Should have handled PR & Communication for large corporate

4. Ability to work on tight deadlines and within defined budgetary limits

5. High level communication and interpersonal skills

6. Hands on experience of producing high quality written documents
