JOB DESCRIPTION  POSITION DESCRIPTION  POSITION TITLE: Marketing Activation Manager - Rural 	 FUNCTION - Customer Development 	 DEPARTMENT & SECTION - Rural  	 MANAGER - Head – Rural  	 MANAGER’S MANAGER - Customer Development Director  	 LOCATION - Mumbai  Job Purpose (Summary of what the job exists to accomplish)  Develop and Implement marketing and shopper activations to drive shares and penetration in Rural  Job Context & Challenges (Indicate type and complexity of the challenges)  With the macro-economic enablers that are driving rural consumption in the country, this person will be responsible to plan & develop marketing activation that will ensure that CP will lead the Oral care growth  Functional linkages (Indicate the frequency and nature of linkage )  Internal: Customer Marketing Manager – Rural, Consumer Marketing , Head Rural, CDTL and AM SD (Rural), Customer Marketing   External: Vendors and agencies   Key Accountabilities (A collection of duties and/or responsibilities assigned)   Accountability	  Related Activities  Coverage Expansion	  - Identify priority SCR based on Consumer Purchasing power and awareness.  - Achieve shares and penetration goals.  Building Capabilities  - Bring out strong brand stories based on Consumer Insights into the Selling aids.  Colgate Equity & Portfolio Mix  - Implementation of the Rural Marketing strategy by Geo  - Co-ordinate with marketing to develop consumer and shopper communication.  - Planning & Implementation of Consumption Building Activities for each of the key geos  - Planning & Implementation of Marketing Plans in Toothbrush & LUP Battlegrounds   - Effective Planning & Allocation of Marketing Budgets  Driving Day to Day Business - Review Key activity conducted in the market and build learning from the same  PROFILE DESCRIPTION  POSITION TITLE - Rural Activations Manager 	 FUNCTION - Customer Development 	 DEPARTMENT & SECTION - Rural  	 REPORTS TO:	Head – Rural  	 Experience  Essential: Should have worked as a Sales Manager in a rural market  No. of yrs of Exp reqd.: 3 to 5 Years (Applications open for Batch 2009, 2010, 2011 may apply)  Professional Qualifications & Training  Should have done MBA from Premier institute, with relevant rural experience
