We are looking to develop a unique hyper-local marketing platform with a wide portfolio of products for the needs of local businesses. We will provide both online and offline solutions to businesses.   Although not the same model, but for a rough market positioning, we can be compared to companies like Nearbuy, Just Dial etc.   We will have a unique positioning in the market, which no one has yet even considered, but has immense potential particularly in developing economies. We also have a unique approach to customer acquisition and retention.  The founder is a graduate from a top Indian engineering school and a leading European B-school with experience in Venture Capital and IB. I am looking for two co-founders, one for tech and one for B2B sales.  About the role :  As the sole technical person you will have complete ownership of the product division.   You will have end to end responsibility for architecture, design, technology selection, testing, integration and so on. You will have to build multiple scalable, reliable and secure platforms for our portfolio.  You will start off by building a MVP which goes to closed group alpha testing soon.  Initially also responsible for helping with IT support for technically challenged co founders, sorry :P  You will be interacting with other teams to integrate new features as per feedback from both, the consumers and businesses.  Over the period you will also have to build a strong technical team and inspire them to innovate.  Skills and qualifications:  Hands on full stack development experience is a must.  Native Android/iOS App development experience.  Indepth knowledge of technologies such as PHP, Ruby on rails or python.  Experience with CSS, HTML, XML, Ajax, MYSQL and JavaScript libraries.  You must have passion for coding and problem solving.   You must have the ability to work under pressure as you would be leading the tech division and will not have a boss to guide you.  You need to be committed to grow with the firm and have long term vision for the firm.  And most importantly you want to challenge yourself.  Lastly, this would not be a picnic and you will need to have the balls to take the risk and bear the heat.  Compensation :  As it is a bootstrapped startup, only vested sweat equity based compensation will be available, until we get funded/go in green. The candidate should therefore be able to sustain himself for at least a year (to be on a safer side).  Must be based in Nagpur/willing to relocate to Nagpur in the short/medium term. For exceptional cases, part-time or work from home can also be considered.  Initial investment will be appreciated (seed money for equity partnership).  Please mention the notice period.   Tentative timeline- We hope to finalize the candidate latest by May end.
