Job Objective i.e. The primary function and purpose of the role

This role is about developing & executing the strategic plan for the NARTD Portfolio in Nepal- a market of 17 mn unit cases and growing at a long term CAGR of 15%. Nepal has its unique characteristics and challenges, so the role will require crafting long-term vision while working on tactics, collaborating with the company bottlers to deploy the strategy.The role will also require you to work closely with the BU Marketing and Commercial Team to deploy the Marketing Calendar in collaboration with your bottling partner. The role would also expect you to manage local agencies - creative and media - to manage deployment of plans in the market.

Key responsibility areas / developmental experiences i.e. All activities performed to fulfill stakeholder expectations and which encompass the span of responsibilities managed. Important challenges to go through in this role and which are crucial to building functional capabilities.

- Lead the Business Planning Process for the Sparkling Portfolio, led by Brand Coca-Cola. Develop a 3 year roadmap with clearly laid out milestones

- Scan the external environment (competitive and market) to keep pace with trends / innovations that find favour with consumers in their environment

- Thoroughly understand the Brands- heritage and values so as to ensure that all the work we do is On Brand

- Strong Commercial Focus - developing the right OBPPC (Occasion, Brand,Pack, Price, Channel) Picture of Success and RGM drivers for each market / cluster. Integration with Business Unit Commercial for sharing of knowledge

- Partner with Country Manager and Bottlers in order to influence their decisions and ensure that plans are activated effectively

- Work with creative & media agencies to deliver locally relevant connection plans

- Work closely with the Knowledge & Insights team to mine consumer & shopper insights, and develop Brand Strategy

- Set up monitoring and reporting formats to track Brand Performance and manage all the Marketing reporting routines

- Work with Bottlers to create an efficient Route To Market for our portfolio based on channel and category segmentation

a) External Factors (Competition moves, changes in regulatory frameworks, changes in macro economic indicators etc.)

b) Internal Factors (Budget/Resource constraints, leveraging expertise of other functions, priority of assignment determined by the business plan etc.)

d) Lack of past precedents/learning

- Manage communication in an environment where the information availability is limited.

- Communication will be about being able to articulate brand strategy clearly and aligning bottlers. Internal interface will include other departments, bottlers, agencies and suppliers.

- This job will involve the broad scanner approach of integrating multiple data sources, having an understanding and appreciation of the different cultures and being able to discern human motivations that drive Brand Strategies. The job will have to work of small budgets while still creating platforms that enable the business to scale up while driving the right local connections

- Innovations will be around how we can better deliver to the needs of the evolving consumer in a locally relevant way. In addition, given the current scale to opportunity ratio, the role must be able to optimize investments (and brand platforms) judiciously across the value chain.

- Guiding the Public Affairs Communication contract resource and 1 Summer Intern during April and May months

- Build capability of the local bottling system and local marketing agencies
