Position

As part of this initiative CHAI is seeking an Analyst who will be responsible for helping develop strategies and interventions for anemia reduction. This will require analysis and development of cases for government, coordinating with developmental partners, as well as, partaking in operational aspects of the program.

Responsibilities

- Conceptualize, plan and coordinate strategic anemia reduction initiatives with key stakeholders

- Manage an ambitious work plan, which includes both short and long-term activities, and which requires effective coordination among partners and CHAI teams

- Collaborate with government to ensure skills transfer and government ownership, identify the most critical hurdles to scale-up, and develop innovative strategies to address them

- Conceptualize, and design business cases, and proposals to supplement policy level improvements at the State level

- Identify key barriers to scale-up of nutrition programs including Iron and Folic Acid supplementation and suggest solution

- Understand the market landscape for commodities including iron supplementation, energy dense nutritional supplements, and other nutritional products such as micronutrient powders. Also, conduct a supplier analysis of the same

- Develop detailed cost models for nutrition commodities that can be taken to scale

- Map regulatory environment for supplementation and fortification of foods in MP and India

- Develop recommendations for CHAI to scale-up nutrition interventions at regional and national levels

- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in government, international partners, donors and NGOs, and ensure maximum coordination of resources and effort
