Responsibilities :

- Manages and oversees the personnel actions for the claims processing team, which includes but is not limited to hiring and scheduling employees; training and evaluating employees; counseling and managing performance;

- Manages and oversees activities of the claims processing team, which includes defining and/or enforcing policies as well as setting standards for the timely receipt, review, research and resolution of claims issues. This may include but is not limited to Flexible Spending Accounts, ARA, Commuter, and other employee benefits claims and the resolution of any issues revolving around claims.

- Performs audits or coordinates audits of department operations and performance in meeting Company standards and customer service expectations. This may include but is not limited to auditing performance within the expectations set forth by the Company as well as expectations for timely turns.

- Provides reports of the team's performance and productivity as well as audit findings

- Organizes and coordinates employee meetings, activities or programs to support open communication, motivate staff and foster employee morale.

- Acts as a critical point of escalation and works to resolve denied or pending claims as expeditiously as possible.

- Utilizing management tools, resources and business routines, monitors work performance for standardization and consistency. Where necessary, coaches and counsels staff to support performance improvement, individual accountability, professionalism, collaboration and creative business solutions.

- Works cross-functionally with other departments to address customer or business issues and resolve errors in a timely manner. Serves as an example to the Customer Service Team for collaboration and consistent customer focus.

- Maintains current and complete awareness of products and services to effectively provide direction and respond to issues that claims processors may encounter. This may involve attending advanced training sessions or meetings in which information is imparted and discussed.

Required Skills :

- Any Graduate with 10+ yrs of claims experience from General Insurance organizations.

- A professional and advanced knowledge of claims operations and management and the ability to oversee claims operations as normally obtained through Ten or more years of progressively responsible management experience.

- The ability to oversee and manage a large team of individuals (twenty or more) as normally obtained through five to ten years experience with employee assessment, development and management.

- A high level of analytical skills is necessary. The ability to uncover facts and use that information to effectively solve issues is also required. An attention to detail is essential.

- Incumbents must have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities and the ability to work under specific time constraints. Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are essential.

- Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills in a team-based environment are also necessary to manage the team as described.

- Previous coaching experience is required. The ability to manage performance is required
