Headquartered in Mumbai, we are one of the leading pharmaceuticals companies in India.

We are currently looking for someone to lead the branding for one of our product lines.

- The candidate should ideally be an MBA from one of the leading business schools in the country and bring about 12-15 years experience in marketing / branding / activation et al.

- The candidate’s role would involve recommending, planning and delivering an integrating marketing strategy that enhances brand equity and assists in achieving the company objectives.

More specifically, the candidate would be responsible for:

Strategic:

- To create a successful brand stands up for something unique in the mind of the consumer/ patients.

- To plan, develop, implement and measure the marketing, communications and public relations activities, both external and internal, delivering measurable projects and campaigns on time, within budget and to a consistently high quality.

- Create and manage annual media budgets for customer acquisition through campaigns for web, television, radio, direct mail, email marketing, third party partnerships, and retail.

- Contribute expertise in the areas of media and online engagement and public outreach to enhance the overall strategic planning

- Work closely with Marketing Research team to obtain relevant information, including the development and implementation of the brand’s initiative.

- Leading the strategic planning process for the brand based on key consumer/ patients insights to enhance current portfolio and improve communication with consumers.

- Support the development of the commercial (Sales & Marketing) strategy and planning process for the brand which ensures that key cross functional/ cross portfolio issues and opportunities are identified and leveraged to enable best for business decisions across all categories and portfolios and included in the long range plan.

- Supervise and direct the operations and personnel in the Knowledge and Insights (research) and integrated marketing communications functions covering various categories as well as the Innovation portfolio

- To build an entire organization structure/team for the leading initiative.

Public education:

- Raise public awareness and positively influence on public opinion around issues.

- Respond, or ensure that staff member responds, to public enquiries about the issues received by phone, email or letter.

- Assist in updating and developing the brand’s presence on social media networks.

- Ensure that all output, including articles, briefing papers and key correspondence copy, is inline.

- Develop new and creative communication streams, including podcasts, videos, etc

Campaign strategy:

- To identify and evaluate specific channels that may be used for promotional and marketing purposes.

- To run effective marketing campaigns which delivers the key messages, USPs and brand collateral to the target channels.

- To strive for excellence across your work for the brand’s initiative

TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

- Manage, train, motivate and manage volunteers carrying out the above responsibilities.

- Develop and administer the necessary administrative systems for tracking all the interactions with the press and members of the public

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

- A Visionary who looks beyond today and knows exactly where he wants the project to be in the next 5 years. He realizes that brands take years and discipline to build and is consistent in communicating the differentiating idea.

- An individual who is always interested in what happens around him. He/she has to have a decent understanding of the various marketing sub-disciplines: market research, communications, digital marketing, event marketing, and public relations.

- He/ She should be able to communicate in a very straightforward and succinct manner, in order to avoid confusion and miss deadlines.

- Good people skills. He/she has to be able to understand various personalities, work style and abilities, and make them feel part of the projects.

- Creative thinker with proven campaign experience

- Proven listening, negotiating and influencing skills

- Good at absorbing large amounts of information, with a general hunger for learning.

- Credible, confident and articulate, with good presentation skills.

- Reliable, flexible and cooperative.
