The Chief Technology Officer's role is to provide leadership to internal Technology team, and outsourced vendors and partners, to deliver on clients mobility and digitalization initiatives, while ensuring stability of existing trading platforms and applications through regular refresh and up gradation, and ensuring Technology Risk compliance.

1) Principal Accountabilities :

The CTO will be responsible for providing complete range of Technology Services consisting of Application Development and Support, Information Technology Infrastructure Services through outsourced partners, Technology Risk Management, and Technology budgets and cost allocations. This individual would determine the future state of Technology Infrastructure and applications fully leveraging benefits of SMAC, and advances in Centralized infrastructure and End User Computing/BYOD

Strategy & Planning

- Lead strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies

- Collaborate with the appropriate Business Unit Heads to develop and maintain a technology demand plan for respective business unit, while maintaining Technology standardization across the organization

- Develop and communicate technology alignment plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders

- Participate as a member of the senior management team in governance processes of the organization's architecture, networks, data storage, media, and desktops.

- Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and BCP

Change and Innovations

- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.

- Define requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders.

- Assess and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.

- Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale across group companies.

- Define and manage policies, procedures and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies.

- Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.

Business as Usual support

- Analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market.

- Creatively and independently provide resolution to technical solutions to business challenges in a cost-effective manner.

- Develop, track, and control the technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.

- Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all technical staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.

- Ensure continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements with outsourced vendors for End User Computing, and Centralized/Data Center operations and services

2) Technical /Specialist Skills & Knowledge Expected For This Particular Role

- Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

3) Skills, Experience and Knowledge

- 16+ years- experience, of which at least 5 years should be at leadership level, working in the IT industry with large Technology Solutions Provider (TCS, Wipro, Oracle, IBM etc.) or providing Technology services to end user organizations in BFSI or Brokerage vertical

- Good background in managing development teams on Server side and client side programming using ASP.NET, Java, MVC, MongoDB, MemCache, Red Hat Linux, LAMP, Joomla, JSON, SOAP, REST, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Native Android, Native IOS, Social APIs, SVN etc.

- Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development

- Knowledge in Capital Markets managing enterprise software applications covering the Front Office, Back Office and Middle Office, Commercial Off the Shelf Applications (COTS), and broad understanding of security principles, Centralized infrastructure Services and End User Computing Services

- Knowledge of Cloud Computing, Mobility Solutions, Digitalization, Web Technologies will be preferred

- Proven experience in planning, organization, and development

- Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems
