Qualifications / Work experience (minimum & desired):   - Master's Degree (Computer Science or IT related) will be preferred   - IT Audit/ Security related professional certifications (CISA, CISSP certifications)  - 15 (min.) years of work experience in the IT field out of which 8-10 years in BFSI sector (mandatory)  - Exposure to Core Technology related Solutions, networking, IT Security and Server administration  - Strong project management skills   - First-hand knowledge in supervising development of software solutions  - Should have worked in a Managerial capacity for the development, maintenance and support teams in the IT function.  Core purpose of the role:  The CTO will play a strategic and operational leadership role in developing and implementing the Company's overall Information Technology Strategy. He or she will oversee all technology services, product analysis, and software architecture activities. This role is responsible for owning rapid development processes and is required to remain innovative in design.  Key Result Areas (bullet points):  - Responsible for the entire IT environment of the company and for digitizing the entire gamut of operations. Reduction in cost of operations by leveraging the digital shift.  - Maintaining a competitive advantage over peers in the Debt markets Sector and leveraging the Digital Ecosystem  - Optimizing and managing the technology network in a manner it delivers high efficiency with sufficient resilience and yet managing costs effectively  - Identifying needs and ensuring ideal software solutions are developed in a timely manner to help increase operational efficiency and also leading edge products  - Develop and maintain overall framework of IT policies, standards and strategies that will empower business and people to deliver on their commitments to the strategy and budgets  - Define the priorities, objectives and targets that underpins what contributes to delivery of value to business aligned with best practices and standards  - Identify security threats, formulate strategies and methods to mitigate the threats/ Operations Risk  - As a part of business continuity plan, ensure that there is no failure in business operations and appropriate DR plans are in place and regularly tested for readiness for unforeseen and unexpected events which can impact the business continuity.   - Will have a pivotal role in supporting the business departments and meeting their needs in a time bound manner  - Developing long term plans to sustain and support the business, anticipating the future trends  - Lead strategic insight and overview of business case justifications and ROI analysis for IT spending and initiatives  - Proven ability to oversee third-party vendor staff and liaise with vendor management   - Strong knowledge of financial products to help plan audit engagements and assess risks   - Experience in both distributed and mainframe environments   - Experience with data analytics and data mining tools   - Preparation of management MIS on various IT projects and deliveries.   - Responsible for management of operational issues and interface with IT delivery managers, business units and QA team for resolution.   - Ensure total quality management through uniform processes and procedures  - Understanding of control frameworks, e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO17799, COSO, CMMI, L1-RR1
