Chief Financial Officer - Restaurant Chain

Our client is a trailblazer in the hospitality industry and operates a chain of premium dine-in restaurants Pan India. This hospitality company boasts of 70+ self-owned outlets across the nation and is a delight to each of its customers, thanks to the innovative and customized dining experience they offer.The company is the largest restaurant company in the nation in terms of self-run outlets and has recently acquired a popular American restaurant brand.

The chain is funded by a leading private equity company and has a healthy top line growth as well as a high EBITA margin.

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be partnering with the CEO and the promoters to drive the organization to the next level. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. Additionally, you will also guide the company towards a successful IPO which the company has planned for in the next two years. You will also help the company in acquiring suitable companies as the opportunity arises. You must have prior experience of fundraising (through equity) and investor management to qualify for this role.

The key responsibilities entailing this role include:

- Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives

- Preparing the company for a public offering in the next two years and working with partners to ensure a successful public listing

- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.

- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team

- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the region including profit and loss reports, and monitoring of regional and cash flow budgets

- Region, City and outlet level P&L planning - you will be primary point of contact for all things finance for the region cities (including forecasting, goal setting, modeling support)

- Setting up and maintaining a system of per unit costing at restaurant/outlet level

- Creating aggressive cost management systems using analytics

- Be the face of the company for investors

- Timely compilation of all MIS and reporting - management, group reporting and regulatory reporting with analysis on the same

- Ensuring credibility of finance function by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts

- Ensuring smooth and successful completion of audits

- Providing recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities

- Managing, training and leading the finance team and raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters

- Working with the CEO on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships on city, state, and national levels, as well as assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts

- Identifying acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, valuation, and closing acquisition deals.

Candidate Profile:

- Understanding of the hospitality segment from a financial management perspective.

- Knowledge and experience of finance, accounts, compliance, and company law

- Should understand costing at per unit level and analytics

- Passion to drive the firm ahead by leaps and bounds

- Should be someone who can be the face of the company

- Should be well versed in using MIS and other relevant technical knowledge

- Should know the basics of investments, credit and cash flow forecasting
