The CFO is accountable for the administrative, financial, taxation and legal operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.   - Control over the tax balances and accounting in order to ensure correct & accurate accounting and timely recording of the tax transactions  - Timely reporting of assessments, appeals and other verification/ enquiries on a regular basis including timely preparation and submission of control trackers and updates   - Handling Direct tax / Indirect tax Excise / Custom / service Tax / VAT / CST  - Compliance across multiple states. Enabling and expediting completion of assessments and pending cases.   - To implement GST by evaluating its impact and develop the transition plan, governance structure as well as compliance framework  - To advise tax-planning and new initiatives and suggest necessary measures to enable to avail maximum tax benefits available under the law  - Alignment of the business requirement to the legal and regulatory compliance and thereby minimizing the legal and regulatory risk  - Provide continuous leadership, supervision, training and development to departments, colleagues ensuring an effective and motivated team  - Ensure adequate financial controls and all processes are established and maintained   - Maintain proper controls over assets including working capital, fixed assets, capital expenditure budgets/justifications/approvals/audits  - Lead budget and forecasting process at both corporate and departmental levels  - Advise on trends and regulations in the industry to ensure effectiveness and compliance   - Participate with CEO in developing overall plans for the direction of the businesses by being a key leader in the meetings  Who are we looking for :   - 15+ yrs of experience and at least 5 years in a listed organization   - Worked in either multi country presence or a large distribution network or both is a plus  - Demonstrates willingness to dig into the details as needed to determine root cause and countermeasures  - Effectively operate and manages people well in a matrix organization inspires others builds motivated, high-performing teams holds people accountable, and gives useful feedback   - Evidence of having worked as a true business partner to a Chief Executive and working in close partnership with an executive team   - Measurable expertise in developing an organization through growth   - Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model. A collaborative and flexible style with a strong service mentality needs to be seen as a team player and hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, results driven environment  - Exceptional problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis  - Experience of running the financial affairs of a fast growing company
