Minimum Education Requirement: Chartered Accountant

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for Company's financial and fiscal management aspects, providing leadership and coordination in business planning, financial performance, accounting and Budgeting efforts. He/she will be a part of the senior management team working closely with the CEO and the board, charting the company's future.

a) Business Plan projections and budgeting

Play a key role in the business decisions by understanding the business relevant metrics and carrying out financial analysis

Ability to take a contrarian view to the CEO and ensure the right fiscal decisions are taken.

Budgeting top down and bottom up and stretch wherever there is opportunity. Publish monthly P&L statements.

Cash flow management

b) Fund raising and investor relationship.

Own the fund raising process through PEs, Banks, Notes, NBFCs etc.

Work towards IPO listing. Manage relationship with investors /lenders and provide ongoing reports.

c) Financial reporting & statutory compliance

Provide daily/weekly/monthly/fortnightly sales report and budget Vs actual

Responsible for accounting and financial systems, 100% statutory compliance and timely,adequate controls and accurate book keeping

d) Taxation

Develop appropriate processes to reduce tax burden

Monitor compliance with statutory authorities for taxation

Ideal Candidate:

Education: C.A with demonstrated experience in heading the finance

Experience: Minimum 10-20 years in controller / CFO role in a corporate preferably from IT Product /Ecommerce / IT Services organizations

Have or acquire a deep understanding of how new age internet businesses work and the unique nature of cash flow in the same so as to identify early the levers of growth / alarm signals.

Experience of working in a startup will be an added advantage.

Potential M&A Experience would be a preference, not mandatory.

IPO experience / public company reporting experience is preferable in cases where the company is on route to IPO in a 18-24 month time frame.
