Position - Chief Financial Officer (CFO)  Location - Chennai  Reporting to CEO/COO  Direct Reportees : Head Accounts, Head Finance, Head IT, Head Supply Chain, Head Company Secretary.  OBJECTIVE :  Establishing financial objectives in line with the vision and organization objectives.  Responsible for complete financial management and day-to- day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities- accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, negotiations, investor relationship, partnership compliance, private & institutional financing.  FINANCE & ACCOUNTS :  - Streamline the Finance processes, policies and controls. Put strong emphasis on cost control, process improvement, payments and collections, MIS, statutory compliances and business finance.  - Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance teams.  - Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows. Own the output and understand the assumptions, risks and opportunities.  - Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes.  - Preparation of monthly consolidated P& L and balance sheet.  - Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports, understand and change the key drivers to business performance.  - Execute the financial strategy of the company.  - Drive the company's financial planning.   - Manage financial controls and accounting procedures.  - Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.  - Report financial results to the board of directors  BUSINESS FINANCE :  - Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.  - Analysis of operating results, performance against budget, physical soundness.  - Performing risk management by analyzing the organizations liabilities and investments. Cash flow, Fund allocation and management, Working capital management.  - Prepare monthly revenue forecast and ensure that monthly revenue targets are met.  - Business partnering : work closely with company leaders to develop financial forecasts and operational goals, apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision-making   FUND RAISING & INVESTOR RELATIONS :   - Developing fund raising strategies.  - Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.  - Control and evaluate the organizations fundraising plans and capital structure.  - Debt syndication with banks.  - Manage company relationships with institutional investors and individual shareholders.  - Managing Investor relations, proposing and setting financial guidance; leading Board of Director and prospective investor preparations; attendance and presentation at all financial conferences.  SECRETARIAL & COMPLIANCE :  - Adept in handling Income Tax, T D S & Service Tax matters involving preparation /maintenance of necessary records / reports in compliance with the respective acts.  - Tax Planning and compliance for all entities and all applicable taxes.  - Adherence to regulatory and statutory compliance.  - Tax and corporate compliance i.e. Income tax, service tax, VAT, Companies Act.  - Working closely with statutory auditors, internal auditors, consultants, tax advisor's, etc.  - Sharing reports with the Board Audit Committee and maintaining a high quality governance environment including internal controls, clean ledgers and timely closures.  SUPPLY CHAIN & IT :   - Drive the supply chain team.  - Focus on material consumption cost and inventory holding period reduction.  - Improve the supply chain service across the group.  - Significantly improve the quality of transactional software with key focus on supply  CANDIDATE PROFILE :   - Fully qualified Chartered Accountant with 15 - 20 years of work experience post qualification.  - Must have been in a progressively responsible financial leadership role last five years.  - Experience in Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Accounting, and Financial Controls.   - Experience in Fundraising and Capital Structures. Successful track record of navigating a company through the full lifecycle; raising capital, public offering and exit.  - Strong problem solving and creative skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses  - High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation  - Leadership role in start-up or early stage company leading to successful IPO, private equity or trade sale.  - Highly presentable with outstanding communication skills  - Technically astute and accomplished, capable of identifying and operating advanced financial and accounting systems  - Should have the ability to interact with and develop working relationships internally and cross-functionally.  - Possess strong analytical abilities with adeptness in formulating accounting systems, preparing financial statements.  - An energetic, strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability and strong operational focus.  Age : not more than 45
