Reporting to Energy Sector CFO

Job description :

The position will head the Accounts function in the Energy Sector and responsible for the accounts, taxation, budgeting, MIS, audits, process improvements etc for the holding company and the SPVs spread across 10-12 locations. The incumbent will be leading a Team of about 40+ professionals.

The main responsibilities will be :

Bringing Process improvements in the accounting functions across business, suggesting best in class processes /systems

Ensuring timely completion of SPV accounts closure, support timely consolidation of accounts at Organisation level

Handling Taxation issues

Coordinate the preparation of Annual Operating Plans & budgets and monitoring

Support in management reviews and periodical finance reviews.

Cash Flow Management

Bringing in ERP (SAP) process improvements

Audit coordination, implementing internal controls to plug weaknesses in the system.

Handling Insurance matters from F&A side

Support in Banking Issues

Suggest improvements in the Delegation of power (DOP) process and ensuring adherence.

Supervision of accounts consolidation

Ensuring coordination with the GMR Shared Service Centre for efficiency improvement and process changes in F&A

Cost monitoring, implementing cost control processes.

Introduction of analytics and improvement in reporting and MIS.

Support Inventory management system

Competencies required :

Having grown in the Accounts function, he/she should have in-depth, hands-on knowledge of relevant financial modules of SAP.

Exposure to highly IT enabled Accounts environment.

Excellent knowledge on accounting standards, accounts consolidation, taxation, budgeting, internal audits & controls and managing cash flows.

He/she should be able to work as a change agent with ability to communicate well having strong inter-personal skills, delivery / execution focus.

Result oriented, analytical and the ability to get into details.
