Role Overview - Chief Financial Officer

Role Objective: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic direction and be responsible for all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

A critical leadership role, the CFO will be a key Management team member. In addition to being responsible for all Financial Management and Accounting matters of the Firm, the CFO will have oversight on the Finance function, working with the Founders and their Investors to strengthen Financial management practices.

Specific areas of responsibility are to:

- Oversee annual business planning, financial forecasting, budgeting process of the Firm and creating realistic budgets for all divisions with an objective of limiting expenditure to a percentage of Sales

- Direct the resources to identify areas of excess expenditure and suggest means of controlling them

- Drive / develop the Standard operating processes, ensure adherence of the same and adopt best practices

- Providing strategic support for funding activities (due diligence, term sheet review and evaluation, development of pro-forma cap-table and coordination of funding close).

- Reduce interest cost by reducing working capital requirement by reducing expenses and by negotiating lower capital cost with banks

- Drive world-class corporate governance and financial reporting, MIS standards within Organisation Advisors and Investors.

- Oversee all fiscal reporting activities including organizational revenue/expense, balance sheet reports, revenue reporting, project wise spends etc.

- Advise company stakeholders on the financial implications and risks related to key issues and important strategic decisions; keep all relevant parties posted, on a timely basis, regarding ongoing financial condition of the company.

- Monitor the inflow & outflow of funds and ensure optimum utilization of available funds towards the accomplishment of Firm's goals.

- Responsible for compliance areas related to SOX controls, business risks assessments and other regulatory reporting requirements

- Lead the process of all statutory, banking, tax and other audits as required by statutory or other provisions

Desired Profile

- A finance professional with a big-picture mindset and the ability to contribute to overall business management

- In-depth of knowledge in the finance functions including Indian / GAAP accounting.

- Strong ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

- Significant hands-on experience performing budgeting/forecasting with complex/dynamic financial models.

- Well versed with the key operating levers of the business and at the same time be conversant with best-in-class accounting practices and procedures.

- Strong financial and business acumen and partnership skills

- Turnaround, funding, M & A transaction advisory experience a plus

- CA with minimum 15 years- experience in Finance and Accounts including 10+ years in top/mid-tier company

Reporting To: The position reports in to the Co-Founder & CEO
