Our Esteemed Client:  A green-field value chain investment in the cotton textile apparel chain from "field to fashion". This will be a unique value proposition (UVP) from farming, ginning, spinning, fabric and apparel manufacture in Uganda. The target market will be large retail corporate in the US-EU where we have competitive advantage due to duty free quota free market access. This versatility and flexibility provides endless possibilities to meet customers diverse textile needs at various links of the CTA value chain.   The Position:  - The Chief Executive Officer will have overall responsibility and accountability for articulating, developing and executing the strategy necessary to drive and maximise the traditional core business as well as innovation of new products and clients.   - The CEO will be responsible for the organisations day-to-day operating activities, including revenue and sales growth ; expense, cost and margin control ; and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management.   - The CEO will play a critical role in the current and future success of the organisation. As a senior member of the executive team he/she will participate in the formulation of the Company's business strategy and will help to ensure the effective execution of that strategy.   - The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced, dynamic and talented, multi-dimensional CEO-level executive with creative and technology savvy, business acumen, P&L orientation and a focus on growing the business.   Primary Responsibilities include:   - Establish performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies for senior management.   - Plan, direct and coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of reporting executives and staff managers.   - Direct operations to meet budget and other financial goals in line with business strategy.   - Ability to selectively invest in growth areas.   - Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services.   - Direct and participate in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans.   - Ensure sound services and working relationships with key staff of important customers and vendors.   - Establish criteria for resource management, setting a tone within the organisation for efficient use of resources and financial responsibility, and informed risk -taking.  - Direct, manage and effectively communicate key planning issues and find solutions for the organisation.   - Maintain and establish operational excellence in processes /controls /checks /balances and continuous daily improvements.   - Manage and guide full supply chain and effectively solve issues to ensure on-time, in-full, error -free, cost-effective, delivery of inventory.   - Provide strategic insight into sourcing decisions - geographic, textiles, factories, etc...  - Build and improve the organisational and structural financial backbone of the business to ensure seamless connection to the other company functions including product development and design, sales, supply chain, IT, operations, etc.   - Represent business model and values to internal and external audiences in a compelling manner, including employees, the investors, the board of Directors and the media.   - Direct warehousing /fulfillment, sales, design, production planning, manufacturing, sourcing, accounting, HR, IT and legal.   - Establish work and revenue streams to measure performance against the business plan  Qualifications:  - 15+ years of experience in the textile products industry and 5+ years experience as a CEO required.   - Demonstrated track record of success in building a brand and significantly growing the business through a combination of organic growth and new acquisitions.  - Must have experience dealing with wholesale /retail markets, multiple channels of distribution and overseas sourcing   - Must have strong contacts at all major national and global retailers   - Turnaround experience is a big plus   - An MBA is highly desirable   - Experience working with private equity is a plus  Attributes:  - Ability to lead, plan and manage change   - Passion and the willingness to become immersed in work   - Initiative   - A team builder and motivator   - Resilience and ability to deal with pressure and stress   - Strong organisational skills   - Strong time management skills   - Strong negotiation skills   - The ability to set priorities   - Excellent communication skills
