This team will be responsible for taking Channelplay’s innovative solutions to potential customers, and closing deals to increase revenue.  Roles and Responsibility:  - Initiate conversations with potential clients and create leads.  - Follow-up on leads and progress through the sales cycle to close business deals.  - Respond to RFPs from clients and take them to deal-closure.  - Price and scope negotiation in coordination with business managers to create profitable deal structures.  - Conceptualize and/or develop new product/service ideas in association with business managers to address market needs.  - Maintain insights into competition to be able to maintain an advantage against competitor strategy and tactics.  - Conceptualize and execute corporate marketing campaigns in coordination with corporate marketing team for lead generation.  Skills required:  Business Savvy:  - You will need to have the ability to understand Channelplay’s various products, services and value propositions.   - You will also need to be able to understand a prospective client’s business needs, and easily be able to connect the need to Channelplay’s value propositions.   - Experience in selling complex products/solutions to clients through lengthy sales cycles is necessary.  Consultative Selling Skills:  - You will need to be able to articulate how Channelplay’s solutions meet the client’s needs, and be able to present it to clients so that they can easily see value in Channelplay’s proposal. Often, you will not only need to articulate solutions to expressed needs, but also how we can address the latent needs basis your understanding of other similar business scenarios at other clients.  Lead Development & Management Skills:   - You will need to be able to generate contacts with potential customers through a number of sources (cold calls, emails, linked-in contacts, referrals, seminars, industry events etc.), and to nurture the lead through the business development cycle till the deal closes.  Pipeline Management & Revenue Forecasting Skills:  - You will have to understand short term, medium term, and long term targets; and will be able to develop a pipeline of deals so as to be able to meet the targets.   - You will also need to be able to forecast revenues in the medium and long term basis the pipeline health, so that Channelplay’s business managers and support functions can work to build the necessary execution capabilities in advance.  Stakeholder Management and Negotiation Skills:   - Closing a deal successfully needs support from a number of stakeholders - most notably clients who have to agree to a profitable price, and business managers - who have to provide a competitive cost.   - A successful business development professional can manage all stakeholders to ensure win-win outcomes can be achieved for all.
